Welcome to another season of the Dad Different Podcast. I am your host Jeffrey, and it has been such an incredible opportunity to share the journey of fatherhood with you all. So, what can you expect in this new season of the Dad Different Podcast? I’m glad you asked. The mission doesn’t change. It’s still about being committed to leading our families well. And what better way to do that in a new year than to tune in and have the support of many other fathers who are going through it too. I’ve learned that being a father can actually get pretty lonely. Most of us are probably feeling like we are doing this thing alone. But I promise you that you are not alone. Let’s connect and encourage one another on this journey. Together let’s raise up the next generation of strong, and I mean strong, men and women. You can stay connected by following the Dad Different page on Instagram and Facebook. I want to continue to pour into men who are serious about leading their families.
When we think of our role as fathers, we really shouldn’t take it lightly by any means. When we think of God the Father, we have been given this title that should mirror how we are to be with our families. Maybe your view has been damaged because of the hurt you experienced with your earthly father. But that shouldn’t stop you from accepting that our heavenly Father loves you more than you can imagine. Let’s model that love to our children daily and unconditionally. Let’s be strong and committed. Despite our own past, our goal is to be present.
So, family I hope that you join me for the first episode of season two. But In the meantime, you can check out all the previous episodes from season one streaming now wherever you get your podcasts. So, until next time on the Dad Different podcast, I am your host Jeffrey, and I will catch you guys on the next episode.

In today's episode I share the importance of understanding that one day our boys will become men. That means breaking away from the socially accepted "boys will be boys" or "boys don't cry" that has affected many men who are now in roles as fathers, husbands, and leaders. Dads, let's stay committed to leading our families well. Boys NEED their fathers. So let's continue to be intentional about raising our families.

In this episode I talk about how grateful I am to have celebrated the birthdays of our two beautiful daughters. And that got me thinking just how great it is to be raising daughters. Being a #girldad definitely changes you. It means you move different. You want your daughters to know what love and respect looks like. It all begins with us fathers at home.

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. In this episode hear Yaritza Bonaventure talk through how she dealt with the not just one but two losses. It's never easy to lose a baby but knowing that you are not alone can certainly help you through the pain. As a man, father, and husband it was my job to be there for my wife as she went through such an experience. We want to bring even more awareness to this in hopes others can see the importance of talking through the pain.

Tune in to this weeks episode as I talk through something we've probably all experienced. Feelings of failure will undoubtedly come in anything we are trying to accomplish in life. Parenthood and Fatherhood are no different. I've had my share of days where I feel like I am just not doing the best I can. With good days come the bad. I share with you three things that I do to remind myself to keep pushing when the bad days come knocking.
Our kids are not looking for perfection, they are looking for our presence.

In this episode learn how you can give your family some wins. I believe a big part of being a father, husband, and leader is to give our families as much wins in life as possible. That truly starts with us and how we win in our battles. Most men have lived a life carrying unprocessed trauma, hurt and pain. We've been programmed to simply put these aside and continue on. We win, and our families win when we process that pain. When we say enough is enough and I choose to be there for my family. So Dad, how are you winning for your family?
