Parenting is all about being intentional. Taking those everyday moments and making something great. Our children deserve us to be intentional. At times it may just be easier to brush off a playtime request to continue work or mindless scrolling but it is at those time that we can choose to be intentional about the ways we engage our children. Being a father we become the first of many things to our children. It all starts with being intentional.

One of my absolute favorite things about parenthood and fatherhood especially is the learning. There are so many opportunities, not only to teach our children, but to learn from them as well. Learning should be a life-long journey. In this episode I share some of the things that I've learned so far in my journey as a father, relationships and life in general.

Ever find yourself asking "What's really my job as a father?" or maybe because of the way that our culture has often portrayed men and fathers you're left scratching your head and asking is this really how it should be? Certainly our roles as fathers takes on more than we make it. Yes we are providers, protectors, and heroes to our children and families but I also believe we ought to be much more than that. So in this episode we ask, and hopefully answer, the question, "What's My Role Here?"

Why is it so hard for men to talk or show emotion? We've been riding the wave of "men don't cry" for way to long! Now it's affecting the way we lead our families. In this episode we talk about how Important and necessary it is for us men, as fathers, to not only be physically present for our families but emotionally available as well. I also share three things I put into practice daily that helps me be more emotionally available for my family.

In this episode we tackle the affects of the Father Wound. The Father Wound can likely follow us well into our adult years. If not addressed properly it can continue to negatively affect the way that we are fathers, husbands, and leaders to our families.

Father's Day can mean so many different things for so many different people. It's a day that often brings on the reminder of hurt and pain that we've been dealt by our absent fathers. Or maybe your father was present but absent emotionally. In this episode we talk about going from "surviving" Father's Day to progressing through the journey and getting past the hurt and pain to forgiveness.
