You look up and see a huge airplane crossing the sky.
It’s made of metal, seats, people, and bags, so it should be too heavy to fly.
So why doesn’t it just fall straight down?
When it moves fast, the air starts rushing around the wings.
The wings push the air down, and the air pushes back up.
It’s the same feeling as when you stick your hand out the car window and it lifts.
So maybe the sky isn’t empty after all.
Maybe the airplane is riding on the air itself.
