Prince has had lasting impact on his fans. That includes USA TODAY copy editor Sharyn Flanagan, who credits the singer with changing her life. Seriously. At one point, Sharyn was planning to become a nun. Hearing Prince's music changed that life path. She now has eight tattoos of Prince's "love symbol."
This is our first Dad Rock Tuesday without our usual third host Mary Nahorniak, who is on maternity leave. And so this segment is temporarily called 'Tuesdays Without Mary.' Join us each week as other guest hosts sit in and talk about music and life.

Sarah Jarosz has gone from teenage bluegrass prodigy to established folk/Americana act. Her mastery of the mandolin, guitar and banjo is well-known, especially among fans of acoustic music, and her songwriting has earned her a loyal — and growing — fan base. In recent years, she has performed multiple times on "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Austin City Limits."
She is touring the USA and UK this year in support of her fourth album "Undercurrent."
