Dad Snark Podcast

Ooooooooeeeeeee What up with that? What up with that?

Seriously, enough with the racist attacks and while we're at it...give the sexism a break too...permanently.

Still taking in episodes of Kath & Kim like there's no tomorrow. Love that show. It's hard not to. Justice League - Snyder Cut = Still Boring!

Not too much new in the music and reading fronts either. I do want to give this book a go when I get a chance though.

Latest spins are right here to see.

Another episode in your earholes!

So, the message is clear...it's cool to listen to advice from others and take that into consideration. No doubt about it. A lot of times, though, we fail to judge for ourselves. We've got to go with our gut sometimes and give ourselves a chance to succeed and fail. It's how we grow.

As far as what I'm into, meh... there are a few new things in here, but it's mostly about baseball folks. Yeah. Did the MLB.tv thing and I'm loving it. Gonna be a great season for my Royals I think. As far as tunes, here's what's spinning lately at the compound.

Not much else happening, but quiet and calm are good things. Right?

Catch you all next week!

(Addendum 03182021: I had, apparently, put the second segment of the previous episode as the second segment here for this week. I apologize and it is corrected now. The first segment is about 10 minutes if you want to jet to the second part only.)

What's that mean? Well, Ganbaru is to "Never Surrender" and/or "Do Your Best" my friends. If you always do a good job, no matter the job, you'll be a happier person.

So, the whole kitchen area turntable debacle took place last weekend, but I think it actually ended up better than I could have ever imagine. I picked up a few new records as well (of course). Everything is right here for you to peruse.

Been watching a few new things here and there. Coming2America is okay. Yeah, just okay in my opinion. I know, what was to be expected. There's a new trailer for an interesting show with Annie Murphy from Schitt's Creek (she played Alexis Rose) and it looks kind of amazing to me personally. Check out this trailer.

Reading a little as well.

Just listen in and you'll get the skinny people. And remember...Ganbatte Fools!

Enough enough enough!!!

A bunch of people need their asses put in the corner. I want your nose there in the corner and you need to be thinking about why it is you're choosing to spend all your energy hating. That's some weak stuff folks. Quit It!!!

Onto what I'm into. Here's what I have been spinning. I got those new Rush and Shooting Star records in Topeka right here. Great shop with some awesome vintage equipment as well. I mean, if you like Marantz and Dual.

Here's that LoFi Rap playlist thing I was talking about. Enjoy!

I go over all the rest in the show. Listen up fools!

So, been going through a little of it again, but still managed to get an episode out here for you.

I gave up on the whole theory of "luck" awhile ago myself. I don't believe in it and I refuse to allow an imaginary force be a decider in my life. Listen to to know more of how and why.

I go through a whole load of things I'm into recently. I'm just gonna put a nice list of links right here...

It's not hard. All you really have to do is quit hating and lose your anger. Help each other out. We're all human beings just trying to make do. Get that chip off your shoulder and grow up a little.

I'm into a bunch actually. I did get my "Now Spinning" sign which you can see right here. In addition, I discuss some of the recently spun records including "Sinatra at the Sands" which is a classic for sure. Here's a link to some YouTube action of it. Willy's Wonderland was a deranged movie for sure. Not nearly as cool as it thought it was, but still fun. Watched some MXC - Most Extreme Elimination Challenge with my son this weekend past as well. Dang! That show's super funny.

That's about it kids. I'll have something new headed your way soon. Hang tough!

The album art from this episode comes directly from Jamel AKA Jamal and his Instagram. Go check his stuff out on YouTube. Dude is awesome and chill.

I'm sick of consumerism in this country. You too? Well, then don't watch the SuperBowl. That's for sure.

I talk about a few new shows and music and reads. A freezing cold week here in the Midwest. But, don't believe the whole Global Warming conspiracy. How can that be true if we're freezing? (I keed)

Catch you all next week!

I mean, take a break once in a while.

I drone on awhile about my, now working, 1975 Sony Cassette Deck. I played a cassette I bought about 34 years ago by Killer Dwarfs called "Stand Tall" gotta dig that album art. In addition, the music video is even better.

We finished the first part of Season 2 of Pen15 and loved it universally. It's a very well crafted show. Check it out when you get a chance.

I will catch up with you all next week.

Peace Out!

P.S. Yes, I intentionally made that little bee extra cute in this episode's title card.

Don't let the door hit ya.

I discuss some about the Oculus Quest 2 and how its maybe gonna be a little more beneficial than I'd initially thought. I didn't even consider using a virtual workspace. Awesome indeed.

Lots of comics, music, movies, and more discussed here.

First things first, though, I need to get this Sony TC-136SD I scored for like $15 up and running. Mostly just belt replacements it looks like. I mean, it is 45 years old.

I'll be back next week with more for you all and soon there's gonna be some more guest appearances and I'm hoping for a Hot Wing Challenge in the near future.

Peace Out!

Would've never thought it might happen here huh? Well, at least not up until like 5-6 years ago right?

Obviously, I was shaken at what I'd witnessed earlier in the day I recorded this. Since then, more stuff has come out about the, now 5, fatalities from this sad historical debacle. In addition, Trump is looking at impeachment on a hurried schedule if not removal via the 25th Amendment. A message need be sent loud and clear that this shit won't fly. It's inexcusable and those involved will serve time (including the fools spewing hatred at the top that day) for what they've done. Sad day indeed.

There's a little discussion of what I'm into right now as I was just all confused and got mixed up on which kind of episode this is.

Catch you all again real soon,

Kyle
