What if I fail?
What if I succeed?
What if people laugh?
What if I get it wrong?
The fear of "what if" is the biggest controlling tool ever released on humanity and in todays world of instant connection, has more power than ever before.
I see it in person and onscreen on a daily basis.
We all hide behind these fears, never really discovering what we are TRULY capable of!
Imagine how different your life could be... WOULD BE, if you were to drop that story and open yourself up to be vulnerable?
Our stories we live by..... what we believe to be true, are created through our own personal experiences, our environment, and who we spend our time around.
We see, hear and think the same thing over and over and over again, day after day after day. Without realising it, we become conditioned to believe these things to be true and when we are presented with a different alternative, we shut it down!
We find justified reasons to avoid doing it
We pick fights with friends and family who challenge us
We allow our trauma suffering inner child to take over and control us
We will throw tantrums and argue our "justified" reasons as to why everyone is wrong and you are right.... After all, who knows your life better than you?
But what if you ARE WRONG?
What if what you need is to commit to the journey ahead?
What if all the things you fear doing ARE the obstacles the universe is putting in your way to enable you to become the person you desire to become?
Right now, we live in a world built on dependence!
We may BELIEVE we live in the most advanced society ever... and as far as technology goes, this is true but sadly, that is where it stops!
In fact, as far as living in a society designed for humans to function as we should, we are as far removed from this as we ever have been, and it shows!
it shows in how we treat each other and ourselves.
The unacknowledged generations of trauma sustained have eroded our abilities to believe in ourselves.
As dependence on technology increases, our ability to control our own paths decrease. In fact it has now decreased to such an extent, that the majority of us can't get our lives into the order we desire, so we resort to presenting a false image of it on facebook.
.
We filter our photos, delete the ones we feel are unflattering, post what we want others to believe is the best version of ourselves, all with the aim of getting likes and comments so that we feel validated by people we don’t know or will have no real impact in our lives.
.
What's worse, the people who KNOW the real authentic version of us, the ones who are there to support us and carry us when we struggle, we turn our backs on them because they tell us the TRUTHS we need to hear but want to avoid.
.
What does this result in?
More of what we always have got because our actions are preventing us from engaging in what we need to do to change!
.
For so long we have been bred and conditioned to not take on challenges, to not speak our minds from fears of being judged or "cancelled" BUT.....
.
Because we aren't speaking it doesn't mean we stop thinking it.
Because we tell ourselves we can ignore it, doesn’t mean we aren’t feeling it.
Because we pretend we have our shit under control, doesn’t mean it isn't affecting us!
