Daryl Bem coined the term "Exotic Becomes Erotic" (EBE) to describe his historic social developmental theory of sexual orientation in 1997, which, controversial at the time, is not without its challenges today.
Still, EBE theory holds promise for explaining the processes by which diapers and ABDL-related ageplay may become eroticized in early infancy, late childhood, and early adolecence.
Together, developmental psychologist Dr. Richard Sprott of TASHRA, social psychologist Dr. Jennifer Bosson of USF, and your host, ABDL sexologist, Dr. Ethan Haymovitz reimagine how EBE may explain what we have come to understand as Adult Baby and Diaper Lover behaviors, identities, and eroticism and romantic relationships in adulthood.
