Today Perry and Shawna launch into two weeks of working through each section of the Lord’s Prayer.  This prayer gives us not only insights on how to pray but how we are to live as loved children in a forever family.  Today we talk about the first two words of the prayer that shape the entire prayer:  Our Father.  As pastor, author and teacher Tim Keller shows us in our first segment, our relationship with God in not transactional, God doesn’t relate to us on the basis of our performance, but rather he treats us as who we really are:  Adopted children who will never be kicked out of the family!  Then we reflect on the tragic loss of basketball legend Kobe Bryant.  Next Shawna shows us that the Lord’s prayer is not about mindlessly reciting a few words to get the attention of a distant deity, but rather it’s an invitation into an intimate relationship of knowing the love of the Father and making him known to a world longing for love.  And finally Perry and Shawna have a conversation with Tim Keller about how knowing God as a Father who will never kick us out of his family empowers us to pray bold, audacious, honest, raw, real, unceasing prayers to a Father who wants to hear every single one!
