In today’s show we’ll be taking a look at this Friday’s matchup between your Pasco Pirates and the Central Bears.

In what looks to be a better equipped opponent than the last for the Pirates, The Bears will roll into town this Friday sporting a 5-4 overall record after beating Weeki Wachee last week 26-14.

I’m excited for this one as I think this will be a good test for both teams. The Bears are averaging 28 points per game on offense while the Pirates are only allowing 12 points per game on defense.

The Bears are only allowing 15 points per game on defense while the Pirates are averaging 30 points per game on offense.

It was a beautiful fall evening in Dade City, absolutely perfect for a football game. Hundreds of fans packed the bleachers as the bright lights lit up W.F. Edwards stadium at Pasco High School. The Pirates were looking to go 5-0 for the first time since 2012.

As Dade City collectively held its breath, Hurricane Ian, a catastrophic category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, made landfall near North Captiva Island in Lee County on Wednesday September 28th absolutely decimating Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

Hurricane Ian is now a Major Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph. A category 5 storm begins at 157 mph.
