Dads Drinking Bourbon

Heaven Hill Distillery announced the release of Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the first edition of the new Heaven Hill Heritage Collection. Each spring, this annual, highly limited release will feature some of the distillery's oldest inventory of aging whiskey, heralding the exacting standards Heaven Hill Distillery has practiced since 1935.

They were nice enough to send us a sample to try, so you know we couldn't wait to taste this one and tell y'all about it!

Daylight Wine and Spirits is the vision of two guys in California that dreamt of making wine and spirits on their own terms. Obviously, with wine being their first venture, their Bourbon and Rye offerings were finished in wine barrels (they had some to spare). They were nice enough to send us over some to sample. Cheers!

The folks over at Blind Barrels, www.blindbarrels.com sent us over a couple of boxes to put through the ringer. They focus on craft whiskey and give you a blind sample of 4 different whiskeys in the box. You are given a QR code, which sends you to a site that reveals the contents. These boxes are sent out quarterly, and the deadline for the next box is Friday.

*The boxes were sent to us free of charge, but no money was exchanged for advertising. As always, we are giving you our open and honest review of what we drank.
