How you are as a dad is impacted by your past. You either raise your kids the same way your parents raised you, or you intentionally change your approach, aiming to avoid the pain that you personally went through.
In George’s case, he thought he had a good childhood. It wasn’t until later on that he realized how dysfunctional his family was. All the trauma led him to become an angry young man who didn’t mature emotionally and developed a lot of insecurities.
When he became a father, he realized that he needed to carve his own path as a father. He also discovered other men like him — struggling with impostor syndrome and struggling to ask for help. That’s why he started surrounding himself with the right people and became more intentional about spending his time and energy making himself a better man.
In this episode, George shares his mission of helping other men who struggle to be vulnerable. Learn about the pitfalls of isolation and the role that connecting with the right people can play in helping men heal from their past.

In this new episode of the Dads Making a Difference podcast, we build upon the bedrock that upholds every great father figure—their health. If fatherhood is a building, then health is its foundation, a critical base that which everything else rests upon.
As we navigate the complexities and challenges of fatherhood, we often overlook the silent cornerstone that underpins our strength and resilience: our physical and mental well-being. The image of the steadfast dad, unshakable and ever-present, is a narrative deeply ingrained in society. Yet behind this façade of strength, many dads face a quiet isolation. They are expected to be the solid rock in turbulent seas, the unwavering force that everyone else leans on. But when the protector needs protection, where does he turn? In a world where a father's vulnerability is often masked, who supports the supporter?
Last episode, we offered a glimpse into the 6 pillars that empower dads to make a difference. This episode focuses on the first and foundational pillar: health. Physical and mental well-being is not just a personal triumph, but a communal necessity for fathers everywhere.
Today, we commit to breaking the silence. We're dedicating this episode to all the dads out there who might be feeling isolated—let's connect and uplift one another. Together, we will chart the course to a healthier, more supportive future for dads who are the unwavering pillars of their families.

The truth is men struggle so much but don’t show it. You see Instagram and Facebook feeds giving the image that everything’s working out and everything’s great. But when you dig deeper into the lives of so many men, you’ll discover that, more often than not, it’s just a carefully-created facade that hides the real story.
These stories don’t have to be kept hidden. Everyone’s story — no matter how many failures or challenges there are — can serve as inspiration to other dads going through the same struggles. That’s the value that we find in communities like the DMD Mastermind; that knowledge that there is always room for men to be vulnerable and to learn from each other.
In this episode, we talk about six pillars that will help men break through the challenges and start becoming dads who make an impact not just on the lives of their families but also on the lives of everyone around them.
“When I say dads making a difference, I mean a dad who is making a difference. Be a leader. Step up. Challenge yourself. Challenge the status quo. Stop settling.” Cam Hall
