Dad's Movie Night

It's your lucky day. This movie is worse than a bowl of Lucky Charms without marshmallows and your cat either puked or shat in it.

But it has Jenifer Aniston's legs!

We watched Big!!! I really need to find myself a Zoltan machine! This might have been one of the top 5 best movies we've watched (excluding the obvious age differential and need for therapy that the character Susan is going to need for the rest of her life!).

We splashed down to watch this fish-out-of-water tale of a boy who was saved from drowning by a mermaid who grew up to stalk him from the depths (and who an extensive collection of 17th century navigational charts in her sunken treasure ship). They laugh, they fall in love... they boink almost all the time. Let's hope the 'government' don't find out!!

High Spirits, you say!? More like spirits who were high as a kite! This was a surprising campy wonderful discovery! Holy crap the Guttenberg was in full effect and Darryl Hannah was ever so convincing as a ghost!

In a world where arm wrestling is a cool sport comes a tale of an estranged father who wants to reconnect with his trust fund son at the exact moment when the kid's mom is going through a risky heart procedure. Nothing could possibly go wrong, right?

Also: It's about arm wrestling.

Pete and Brian are joined by local dad, Giles, to embark down this memorable romp down a terror filled nightmare that we though we remembered properly but truly DID NOT.

We watched the animated 'classic', Heavy Metal. Complete with boobs, blood, and animated dongs this fairy tale was revered when we were kids for reasons we really can't put our finger on. Some of our friends have tried to tell us it was because of the music.... but last time I checked Stevie Nicks isn't 'metal.

If I hear that song ONE MORE TIME!!!! YEs, Brian and Pete watched The Hobbit animated version from 1977. There were some impressive moments that brought back all the feels ..... and some that reminded us why they needed to make the Peter Jackson versions.

All they needed was Tom Cruise running with those dwarves!

All the plotless JCVD you could ask for and even some man-buns that you didn't ask for in this epic "true story" (lol) of Frank Dux and the first time he ever fought in the super secret unfindable unverifiable incomprehensible fight known as the Kumite.

Suffice to say that Brian and Pete had questions.
