In our reading of the Torah portion, Lech Lecha
this week, we read these words from Genesis 12:1-3:
Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall
be blessed.”

It is easy to say those words, “I stand with Israel, and I will bless Israel.” But do we really mean them? I believe we are at a
crossroads. The God of Israel is putting each and every one of us to a test: Will we put these words into action? Will we take action to stand with and support Israel during this war with Hamas?
I want to share an article with you written by Shira Schechter of Israel365. It is extremely well written and I believe, truly conveys the heart of God to us in this hour. As we read Genesis 12:1-3, may this article inspire us to take action steps to bless Israel in practical tangible ways.

I want to share this article with you, Heart's Cry for Israel. It originally appeared as an article in "The Israel Guys" and was written by Amy Mucklestone. It is very articulate and extremely well written and it addresses a disturbing trend that I am seeing from within our own churches, fellowships and home groups: anti-semitism towards the Jewish people. This unreasoning and baseless hatred towards the Jews is rearing up its ugly head once again...and truly it is demonic. This article addresses the issue head-on.
Where do you stand with Israel and the Jewish people right now in their hour of crisis? This is a defining moment for all of us. Our identity is wrapped up in Israel and the Jewish people. The Father in Heaven is watching to see where we stand in this "valley of decision."
