Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

John 20:11-18

What a change took place in Mary Magdalene‘s life. She went from being full of the devil to being full of Jesus. She never stopped seeking her savior. When others went home. She went to the tomb. When others were sleeping, she was seeking. When others were eating, she was weeping. Until she found the Lord.

And she did find her savior when she heard his voice when he called her name.

The Resurrection

John 20:1-10

We have here the fulfillment of the gospel of Jesus Christ: the death, the burial, and the resurrection. And through that gospel is the only way to get to heaven; all other ways lead to damnnation

Jesus Is Buried

John 19:38-42

The words, “This is my body, which is broken for you,” ring in my soul. What a blessing that these men were; they respected the Lord‘s body. It must’ve been difficult. To look at the Lord’s bloody and broken body. But Out of all the bad characters, you can always find someone that will respect the Lord Jesus Christ, whether it’s his words, his doctrines, or his bloody and broken body.

Jesus' Side Is Pierced

John 19:31-37

''But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.''

“not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth”

This may be a reference to his baptism, not just by water, but by blood also. He lived a perfect life. He died as the perfect Lamb of God.

The Death of Jesus

Jesus laid down his life for the lost and dying world

This is the love of God,

Romans 5:88 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The Crucifixion

John 19:16-27

If there was one person that knew that Jesus was the Son of God, it was Mary, his mother. He was born of a virgin. What a wonderful blessing to birth the Son of God, but now she must see him, die, the nails in his hands, the mocking, the spitting in his face, the crown of thorns upon his head, the blood that ran down through his body. This pierced her soul just as the Bible said.

Jesus Delivered to Be Crucified

John 19:1-15

For God, so love the world that he gave his only begotten son. Yes, this was the will of the Father that his son would die for the sins of the whole world. O sinner, can you see the suffering of Christ? Christ did not die in defeat, but in victory. Death could not hold him in the grave. Praise the Lord for his wonderful gift of salvation. Thank you, Jesus.

My Kingdom Is Not of This World

John 18:33-40

Barabbas was set free. Jesus Christ was sent to the cross: the righteous died for the unrighteous, the sinless died for the sinner. Just as Barabbas was guilty of sin, so we stood before the Lord guilty. But through the cross, we were set free. Can we sing “Hallelujah”? Praise the Lord to our great King Jesus Christ.

Jesus Before Pilate

John 18:28-32

“and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.”

These were religiously ignorant people. Before them was Jesus, the Passover lamb. If they would have put their trust in him, then surely Jesus would have wash away their defiled hands.

Peter Denies Jesus Again

John 18:25-27

Peter’s turning point, though it was very bitter, he denied the Lord. It broke his heart. He repented of his sin. Oh, what a change that a day can make! When God gets hold of your reins, we are like wild horses. Untamed cannot be used, but when the master touches our lost soul and begins to train us up in his ways. We become profitable to him.
