My prayers often feel vague and rambling. This week, we'll focus on five passages from Scripture that we can pray for fellow believers no matter their circumstances.

Don't forget that Matthew 5:16 ends with the words that they might "give glory to your Father in heaven." We don't do good works to glorify ourseles - but God.

When we think about practicing, we usually think about things we want to practice getting BETTER at. We don't usually think about practicing sin. 1 John 3:9 reminds us that we are either practicing righteousness or practicing unrighteousness.

Zechariah and Mary received the same news - they were going to have a child! But they each responded to their answered prayer very differently. We can learn from them from Luke chapter 1.

A six-year old memorized John 3:16 as "God only gave His Son" rather than "God gave His only Son." And it taught me a beautiful truth about God's sacrificial love for us.

Do you often feel like an after thought? Like you're second best? Ephesians 1:4 reminds us that we were in God's plan from before the foundation of the world. In fact, He chose us to be his children.
