  • 4P: The October State of Mind

Live from the Brewers' Rally for October at American Family Field, this hour captures the excitement building across Milwaukee as fans gather to celebrate a historic season and look ahead to the postseason. The conversation begins with a breakdown of Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson's proposed budget, including investments in road repairs, public safety requirements, and the financial challenges facing the city. Attention then turns to the Packers as Alex Strouf analyzes Green Bay's uneven 1-1 start, the impact of injuries along the offensive line and at wide receiver, concerns about penalties, and the opportunity awaiting the team against Atlanta. Throughout the hour, the focus returns to the electric atmosphere surrounding the Brewers, with updates from fans attending the rally, postseason ticket excitement, special merchandise, ballpark activities, and the growing belief that Milwaukee could be headed for something special this October.

  • 4PM: Packers FINALLY Have a Defense, Brewers October Hype Takes Over & Can It Save the Offense?
The 4PM hour of Kyle & Brust is live from a packed UW Credit Union Plaza at American Family Field as Milwaukee gets ready for October. The guys soak in the atmosphere and explain why the Brewers’ recent combination of improved hitting and pitching has them feeling better about this postseason run. With Jacob Misiorowski and Logan Henderson leading the rotation, Kyle believes this Brewers team has a legitimate opportunity to finally break through and reach its first World Series since 1982.
Then Kyle attempts something rare this week: Packers positivity. Lukas Van Ness is coming off a monster performance, Jonathan Gannon’s defense is creating pressure and stopping the run, and Green Bay is doing it all without Micah Parsons. Kyle and Ben wonder just how dangerous the defense could become if LVN continues his breakout once Parsons returns, while Evan Williams and Javon Bullard are already making plays on the back end.
Plus, Steve “Homer” True crashes the show and believes the defense and special teams might be good enough to cover for an offense decimated by offensive-line problems. But Homer pumps the brakes on declaring Green Bay’s defense elite until it faces better quarterbacks and joins the guys in questioning why it took the Packers so long to prioritize the return game. And despite all the positivity, one familiar frustration remains: why does LaFleur keep going run-run when Matthew Golden is sitting there waiting to make a play?

  • Mark Tauscher on Fixing the Packers O-Line, LaFleur’s Identity & Why Green Bay Can Still Improve
Mark Tauscher joins Kyle & Brust and says the Packers’ offensive line problems won’t be solved by simply grabbing two or three veterans off the street. With Zach Tom lost for the season and Aaron Banks difficult to count on, Tausch says Green Bay’s path forward is developing the players already in the building, especially Jagger Burton, Jordan Morgan and Sean Rhyan. The key is making sure this group looks significantly better in November and December than it does right now.
Tauscher also weighs in on Matt LaFleur’s offensive identity after Kyle questions how “all gas, no brakes” fits with the conservative run-run-pass sequence following Skyy Moore’s huge return. Tausch didn’t love the play calls, but argues LaFleur was reading the specific game: the offense was struggling, the defense and special teams were outperforming the Jets, and Green Bay ultimately found a way to win without forcing the issue.
Plus, Tausch says the receiving corps is not the problem. He likes what Christian Watson and Matthew Golden have shown and believes the offense can still be dangerous if Jordan Love gets enough time to deliver the football. Protection and the running game remain the much bigger concerns.
