The structure we have built to understand the levels of the soul will also give us a depth in understanding the concept of Teshuva.

When the Jewish people stood at Sinai, they received the Torah from Hashem's mouth. This meant that they accessed a sublime level of Spiritual revelation.

The Torah binds the Jewish people to God and thereby gives continued existence to the world.

In order to access spirituality through the Torah, it must be done through kedusha - holiness. The concept of holiness in Judaism, however, is quite different from the way we are used to hearing it.

The Neshama's lowest levels actually correspond to the highest levels of the Ruach, which enter and leave the body.

Here we see the effects of the third level of the soul, called Neshama. Although it is not completely in the body, its effects are felt, specifically in our understanding of the deeper secrets of the Torah.

Moshe was called the man of Elokim because he merited to have his Neshama completely in his body.

We begin to understand the concepts of the different levels of the soul and how they relate to man - Nefesh, ruach and neshama.
