Walter Parazaider, the founding saxophonist and woodwind player of the rock band Chicago, has died at age 81 after a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He helped create the band’s signature horn-driven sound, co-founded the group in 1967, and remained a member until retiring in 2018.
