“O’ Brilliant One. What are three things you feel and believe you need to do every single day to feel and be better? I encourage you to write it down. If you think it, ink it. The moment you write it down, it allows you to zoom out, and to see what you believe, what you feel, and what you are sensing in that moment. When you zoom out and then you zoom back in and say ‘Okay, what can I do? What will I do? What must I do today to make this a reality?’ So, if you want to feel better, be better, think better, write it down. That’s where the breakthrough is!”
“What can businesses do to create a culturally, intelligent workplace with all of this in mind? The first thing is to start with communication, and that communication must be authentic communication. Asking every person what they want, creating an inclusive environment. I think the second thing, is equal pay. Champion women to be paid on the same level as men. I think the third thing is to give feedback early and often about their contribution. Research says 1 minute spent on recognition creates 100 minutes of initiative. So, when you recognize an individual, they go above and beyond.”
“Today, take the seatbelt off! You have been locked in place long enough, and today I want to invite you to take the seatbelt off because when a seatbelt is on you it locks in your dreams, your purpose, and your future, and you are in a confined restricted place for your safety, but you have been there emotionally and mentally long enough. Today, my advice is to take the seatbelt off. Number one, decide what you are going to go after. Number 2, begin to put one foot in front of the other. Number 3, every day act like you are free! Take your seatbelt off.”
“Hi there! Did you know that it’s okay to feel whatever you feel right now? Whatever the emotion, the thought, the perception of where you are, allow the feeling to just flow in you, flow through you. Don’t try to judge it, and honor where you are right now because feelings are real. I know for myself, for many years I suppressed my feelings, suppressed what I thought because I was just thinking I needed to do it the right way. After going to therapy and doing some work, what I recognize is feelings are real, and the more I honor them and respect them, I experience a breakthrough. What about you?”
“What are you most grateful for? As you think about where you are today, I believe taking just a moment to pause and say, ‘I am grateful to be alive, I’m grateful to be able to think and process, read, write, articulate, connect to digest.’ Yes, those things might be simplistic in nature, but to be able to say that you are just thankful, I certainly am! Wherever you find yourself today, wherever you are in the world, taking that moment to take a deep breath and just say thank you. For me, I say thank God for life and health. I believe the power of thinking and being grateful is powerful. So, wherever you are today, be grateful and thankful. You are brilliant!”
“O’ Brilliant Thriver – What’s your dream? What is the thing that you want the most? That talks to you? Speaks to you? Whenever you see it or think about it, there’s a leap in your spirit. The ability to dream is the magnet that pulls you toward the future. When a person doesn’t dream, they succumb to fulfilling the dream of someone else. So, what is that dream that awakens your potential and your genius? I believe, and I have taught this for years, that what you want wants you. You would never have a desire to dream of something unless it was possible to achieve it. It may change, but it keeps you on the path to destiny.”
“Today, I want to invite you to say thank you. Thank you for that no matter what happens, you are going to be appreciative of where you are. No matter good, bad, or indifferent, there’s the ability to say, ‘thank you’ and grow from every experience. So, when you do, it’s that thank you I think that allows you to continue to move forward no matter what. So, thank you for being you! What are you going to do to say thank you as you approach today? Have a brilliant day!”
“Find a way to make it happen. When it comes time to solve a problem, to find a solution, I believe that your faith in a better future will ignite you to find a way. When you find a way, what you are simply saying is ‘I choose to make things happen not because I have to, but because I want to.’ So, this is the moment. This is the time to find a way!”
“Let these words hug you tight. Let nothing dim your light. Your bright light demands and delights. Walk onto the stage, the curtains are opening. Step into the spotlight and ignite with resurrected life. Let these words hug you tight! Let nothing dim your light. Your bright light demands and delights. Walk onto the stage, the curtains are opening. Step into the spotlight and ignite with resurrected life. Affirm that to yourself today.”
“I have been journaling for the last 25 years, and can I tell you journaling for me has become therapeutic. From time to time, you will hear me say, ‘If you think it, ink it.’ The moment you write it in a journal, you are processing where you are in your journey. You’re not judging where you are, but you are zooming out for a moment to reflect and to think about what you just wrote. As you zoom back in, during journaling, you are connecting the dots between where you were this time last year, last month, or even just yesterday. So, the power of journaling is to understand the past, be present in the moment, and move towards the future. Even if you don’t have a script, even if the GPS of your soul is not working at the moment, the journaling allows you to connect the dots!”
