Josh Rivera, currently starring in The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Broadway, joined us with a Baldur’s Gate 3 reminder: Withers is there for a reason, so pay the gold and respec without fear. Josh Rivera’s tip is all about experimenting with builds—from turning Shadowheart into a sorcerer to building Karlach as a Tavern Brawler monk for big throws. It’s a quick push to stop playing scared and try the class combo that sounds fun.
Josh Rivera is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most compelling rising stars. Most recently he captivated audiences in the titular role in Ryan Murphy’s FX limited series “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” a performance that secured him coveted spots on Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch and The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Talent Lists for 2024. On the big screen, Rivera made his feature debut as Chino in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. He's also seen in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Susanna Fogel’s feature Cat Person, and the indie thriller Inhabitants, which won Best Genre Feature at the 2023 Austin Film Festival. A graduate of Ithaca College, Rivera began his professional journey as part of the original cast of the first national tour of Hamilton.

Organizing kitchen drawers gets annoying when the thing needed is always in the last one. Label the inside of drawers and cabinets with sticky notes so the contents are visible the second they open. The same idea works on baby clothes drawers when sizes like newborn and 0–3 months are split up.

Avoidance shows up fast when a shower or the gym feels like too much, even when it is already on the to-do list. This trick uses a tiny start, like running the shower for two minutes or putting on sneakers, to break the stuck feeling and see what happens next. It is for procrastination, gym motivation, and getting moving when inertia is winning.

When your desk work and phone habits leave the base of your neck hurting, a phone holder with an extendable arm keeps the screen at eye level. Arielle says the phone also becomes a little harder to use, so texts and email get handled on the computer more often. That small shift keeps the neck out of the chin-down position.

When a heavy task list makes everything feel unfinished, a "did it" list puts quick wins back in view. Ned suggests writing down the things already done, even the ones that never made the list, so the day stops feeling like zero progress. Arielle points out how well that fits a productivity-heavy episode.

Josh Rivera shares a tip about complimenting the homies, complimenting yourself, and noticing the small details that make someone feel seen. A fresh shirt, a new haircut, or one sharp line can change the whole week. See Josh in Rocky Horror Picture Show now on Broadway!

When dust builds up where the wall meets the floor, a sock can reach the corner that a cloth misses. Arielle found the tip in a Threads post from @camplarry, where a video showed someone wetting the top of a sock before running it along the edge. It turns a hard-to-clean spot into a quick pass.

Sofa gives Ned one place to save TV, books, movies, music, ttrpgs, board games, theatre recs, and more until he is ready to start them. It also doubles as a podcast player, which Ned forgot to mention, and it keeps his listening right there too.

When drafting an email, leaving the To, CC, and BCC fields blank can stop an accidental send before the message is ready. Jamie from Leeds in the United Kingdom learned it the hard way after sending emails mid-draft from hitting Command+Enter, and now parks recipients in Notepad until the email is done. If a send delay is not turned on, this manual habit keeps unfinished email drafts from going out.

When getting started feels impossible because too many projects are piling up, try shrinking the commitment to two minutes and begin anyway. This tip speaks to procrastination, task initiation, and context switching at work, especially when a long to-do list makes every choice feel like the wrong one. Arielle Nissenblatt shares a Threads find from @isaiah.brownstein: trade “two hours” for “two minutes,” then see what happens.
