Friday 26th March 

A beautiful Friday to you in the name of Jesus. I pray that your life will witness God’s grace and power in Jesus’ name. You are a living testimony.

In Genesis 1:5 (NIV), the bible says God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. 

I used to wonder why the bible said “evening and morning” and not “morning and evening”. Then I later understood that God set things in pattern, He moves us from darkness to light. Evening time represent darkness while morning represent breaking of day or light. So, in life, God moves us from darkness to light, from challenging situation to a great testimony.

We might be in a challenging situation now, but the bible says, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Regardless of how dark things are for you right now in your marriage, legally, on the job, in school or whatever you are going through, I pray that joy and celebration comes your way now in Jesus’ name. 

Sarah’s life was evening like, a long night season. In the beginning everything seems good for Sarah. She had a happy marriage and life. However, things took a dramatic turn when she began experiencing delay in child’s birth. Despite God’s promises, she had to wait for twenty-five years. The child finally came. Let us listen to what Sarah to say had in Genesis 21:5-7 (NLT),

Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!” 

Sarah became a living testimony and she’s is still a testimony till today. Major religions in the world today still consider Sarah a respected icon in their faith, especially the Jews, Islam or Christians. Isaiah 51: 2 (NLT) says, 

Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.”

We still draw inspiration from Sarah today, we learn from how she conducted herself through the many years of challenges but God turned things around and she became a living testimony and she’s still a reference point of God’s faithfulness today.

I pray for you in Jesus name that God will cause you to laugh and give you reasons to celebrate just as He did for Sarah. You will no longer be scorned and ridiculed, rather people will appreciate and celebrate you in Jesus’ name.

A Living Testimony 1

Wednesday 24th March 

A wonderful Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus. 

I want to say a big thank to everyone for all the prayers, calls and  messages on the 1 year anniversary of broadcasting our Daily Voice Devotional (DVD). To God alone be all the glory for the testimonies and impact of the messages, we humbly ask that you’ll continue to pray for us that God’s Word would continue to find free expression through us in Jesus’ name.

We are able to do all we are doing because WE ARE NOT ALONE. God is with us and you have also in your different way been with us. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:10 “…woe to him that is alone…” God said concerning Adam in the Garden of Eden, “… it not good for man to be alone”. Solitude and seclusion might be necessary sometime to be alone with God and for self-evaluation, however, we must not make a life of loneliness or seclusion a culture. God created us to relate with one another. 

In the book of Ephesians 3, Apostle Paul spoke about God being the Father of the family in heaven and on earth. As believers we have our  family of faith in heaven and another one on earth and they are both there urging us on, so we are not alone. 

The Bible says in Hebrew 12 vs 1-3 (NLT), Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

Take a moment to reflect on this bible passage, let it dawn on you that our family of faith in heaven and our fellow saints on earth are cheering us on. However we must  stay away from sin and lay aside every weight like bitterness, anger and other vices that can slow us down in our race and deny us from wining the prize and keep our testimony.

We must keep our eyes on Jesus and not get distracted, we are not alone. God is routing for you. Jesus is routing for you. Holy Spirit is routing for you and the great cloud of witnesses are routing for us. When thing begin to look too tough, think about Jesus, think about the hostility He endured. He did not let the situation get at Him or derail Him. Today, He is seated at the right hand of God.

May God strength you not to be weary. May you go from strength to strength in Jesus name. We will celebrate your testimony together in Jesus ‘name. 

Never forget, you are not alone.

A beautiful Tuesday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for today; we thank God for the gift of life and today is a very special day to me. 

Today makes exactly one year that we started our daily voice devotional so this is the 365th broadcast we are doing today and we are grateful to God. I want to say thank you to everyone who have been following us, may God fulfil your heart desires in Jesus’ name. 

Please help us say a word of prayer and thanksgiving to God.

Somebody says "Pastor Niyi, did you think you'll be doing this for this long when you started?" Absolutely not, I thought it was going to go on for a few weeks but that's how God works with. He doesn't show us the full picture, He just starts and we just move on with Him one day at a time.

You are not alone, we still talking about that. Don't let anyone convince you that you're alone, the challenge you're going through now, whatever it is, don't let anyone make you feel you're alone. He is special to you, unique to you. People have gone through it; people are going through it now and people will still go through it in future.

One of the lessons I've learnt in my life is that my challenges and problems will never make headline in heaven. There is nothing God hasn’t seen it before, in fact He saw it before it happened and He knows you can handle it.

I read a story many years called footprints. It was about this person who was complained to Jesus saying, "…at the most difficult period in my life, you left me alone.” Jesus said "No, I did not leave you alone. We were walking on the beach together when you saw two sets of footprints. When you saw only a set of footprints, that wasn’t because I left you, that was when things were so tough and you were so weak that I had to carry you.”  

It's important we understand that if we don't see or feel Him, He is still there. What he said is this "I would never leave you nor forsake you.” 

Luke 1:56 (NLT)

56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

It's one thing to seek the right company, it's another thing entirely to stay with the right company. Mary stayed with Elizabeth until her faith was developed, until her strength was developed, until her courage was developed to stand alone.

Sometimes we leave place our place of help too early. One thing the bible emphasises a lot is the place of staying and standing till we a well endued with heaven’s strength. Reading the of John 15, we see how Jesus spoke about the importance of abiding. When He was ascending back to heaven, He told them to stay in Jerusalem and wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit. 

There's something powerful about staying there with God and in the right company until your strength completely renewed, until your vision is clear, until your courage develops and you can stand on your own. 

So, I want to encourage you, don't just seek the right company, stay in the right company until you have the fire and the power to go on your journey. Your testimony is a must if you stay with God and the company or the right people.

 Monday 22nd March 

A lovely day to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for today. It’s another Monday and the beginning of another working week. We trust God that it's going to be a wonderful week and a great day for you in the name of Jesus. 

You are not alone, that’s what we’re still discussing.

When we go through challenging times, it is important we know that we are not alone but sometimes we might need to seek out the right company. Yes, God is with us and He would never leave us nor forsake us but we need to seek out the right company. We need to get people that we can talk to, we need to get people that can stand with us in prayer and in faith, people who will encourage us and keep pushing us on. Not people like Job's friends who were just there to accuse and discourage him. 

Luke 1:39-42 (NLT)

39 A few days later Mary hurried to the hill country of Judea, to the town 40 where Zechariah lived. She entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. 41 At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed.

Now when the angel Gabriel came to give Mary the news that she would have a child without a man, all the things she was hearing was difficult for her to comprehend. The angel then said to her " …you might think these things are difficult to believe but your Aunt Elizabeth is in the 6th month of her pregnancy, it might be difficult, but with God nothing is impossible”.

Mary was in that phase of her life where she needed to know something about this God Who could do impossible things and she ran to Elizabeth's place, why?  She went to seek her company, her counsel and to be in an environment where her own faith and confidence can grow in this God who does the impossible.

When you have issues that you need help in resolving, don't wait for people to come to you. They might come which is great but if not, seek them out. Even the Lord Jesus when He was going to the cross, He called some of His disciples and said "guys, my soul is sorrowful to the point of death, come and pray with me". He was the one that called them into His company. 

You need to seek the company of likeminded people, likeminded believers that can stand with you at those times of tests and trials and believe me, when you keep the company of those kind of people, you cannot but come out victoriously.

I pray the Lord will give you wisdom and open your eyes to see these people and connect with them in Jesus’ name.

Sunday 21st March 

A beautiful Sunday to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for today and we thank Him for His goodness and His love towards us.

Today we’d like to remind you that you are not alone! 

When going through challenges and it been ongoing for a long time, one of the effects it has on us is the tendency to isolate ourselves. We don’t want people “nosing” into our private affairs. They tell us things like, “have more faith”, “you are not praying and fasting enough” and some of things only make you feel worse and you just want to be alone. Though sometimes it might be good to stay off, but we must still allow a few trusted people into our space. When we isolate ourselves from people completely, we have put ourselves in a position where the devil can easily destroy us. 

God wants you to stand with Him and He wants you to stand with other believers and you ask Why?  Because there’s power togetherness!

Psalm 133:1-3 (NIV)

 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It’s like precious oil poured on the head, running down the beard, running down Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.  

The place of unity, the place of fellowship and friendship with those who love you and those who are of the same spirit of faith is a place of safety, life, a place of blessing and strength. That’s why the devil wants to cut us off from other believers, he doesn’t want us to take advantage of blessing of fellowship. 

I pray in the name of Jesus that this will be a season of unity for you, a season of fellowship, friendship and a season of divine connection with other like-minded believers in Jesus’ name. As you get into fellowship and stay in fellowship, the strength of God and the power of  blessing will flow afresh into your life in Jesus’ name.

Saturday 20th March

A lovely Saturday to you in the name of Jesus, God is good and His mercies endure forever.

You are not alone!

God did not design us to be alone. Yes we could have seasons of isolation, giving our self to prayer, but He did not design us to be alone. So don’t let anyone convince you and don’t convince yourself that you’re alone, especially in those seasons of tests and trials.

Usually when we go through the tests and trials of life, we are bound to ask questions; what did I do wrong, is it because I sinned? And people also say a lot of things behind us. But remember the story of Apostle Paul after the shipwreck happened and they landed on the island (Malta). Paul was bitten by a viper in the process of fetching woods to make fire and in response to this; people said he was an evil man, so bad that God wants him dead. But because of the fickle nature of humans, when they saw that he didn’t die, they said he was a god.

When you face the challenges of life, do examine yourself, but do not think it’s because something is wrong or that believers are not suppose to go through such things you’re going through. Every one of us goes through challenges of life, not because of sin or being spiritually weak. By all means, examine yourself as always but understand it’s not strange.

1 Peter 4:12 (ESV)

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange is happening to you.

Peter could say this because of the many things he’s been through. According to Him, it’s nothing strange when we experience these things as believers, so quit beating yourself and asking question.

When the disciple of Jesus saw the man who was born blind, they asked; “Lord, who sinned? This man or his parents” So Jesus explained to them that the challenges in life is not because of sin but because we live in a funny world and out there there’s a devil trying to cause more trouble. So as believers, though sometimes it’s what we’ve done but a lot of times, it’s just that we have an ongoing warfare and these things will come against us.

So understand this and don’t let the devil or people convince you by the things they are saying, stand strong in God, understand that these things happen to everyone and determine in your heart that you’ll come out victoriously and once you keep that in mind and stand with God, that will be your testimony in Jesus name.

 Friday 19th March 

A lovely Friday to you in the name of Jesus. 

You are not alone, that is the focus of our discussion.

In midst of life situation, you must remember and understand that you are not alone. I cannot overemphasize this - You are not alone. The devil’s strategy is to make you believe that the test or challenge you are experiencing is unique to you, he wants you to wallow in self-pity, make you lose focus and believe that nobody has ever gone through what you are going through. 

1 Peter 5 vs 8-9 (AMP) that, 8 Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. 9 But resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.]

Don’t allow Satan to convince you to isolate yourself. God want you to understand that He would never leave or forsake you. God is with you even when He seems quiet. There are also other believers who are willing to stand with you and support you, especially those who have experienced and overcome what you are experiencing. Do not go through life alone. Do not convince yourself that you are alone.

There are two giants of faith in the Bible who thought they were alone in their time of testing. The first person is Elijah. When he received a death threat from Jezebel, he panicked and told God he wanted to die because he was the only one left standing for God. God surprised him when He told him He had other seven thousand (7000) people that were still faithful to Him. John the Baptist was the second. He felt abandoned while in prison he began to question and doubted Jesus’ was the Messiah. Elijah and John the Baptist lost it in the critical moment because they believed. 

I pray for you that God will open your eyes to see the help that God has already made available by His Spirit and in other believers in Jesus’ name.

 Thursday 18th March 

A beautiful Thursday to you in the name of Jesus. I trust your week is going on well. “You are not alone” – this is our focus for this week.

When we are in a season of test and trails, sometimes we believe we are the only ones having such a challenging time and the Devil will do all he can to get us to believe in such a position. But in reality, no matter how challenging the situation - you are not alone. Every one of us face the test of life at one point or the other, you just might not know because some are better at hiding or handling it more than others. 

1 Corinthians 10 vs 13(AMP), 13 No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

What God is saying is that despite your current struggles and challenges, your situation is not peculiar to you. Some people have faced such in the past, some people are currently experiencing similar situations while others will still face such in the future. So do let anyone or anything make you believe that your problem is unique to you alone. The scripture also says that in the midst of test, God will make a way of escape. 

Whatever the challenges you are facing now, God knows that you can handle and He will NEVER allow you to be tested beyond your current capacity. Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah and Sarah, all went through seasons of test that seemed unbearable but they all came out with great testimonies. 

Trust God’s faithfulness. God is with you and there is a way of escape in your present challenge.

Wednesday 17th March 

A lovely Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for all that we’re learning and we thank Him for that which He has written concerning your life. We’ve been looking at the building blocks for a testimony and today we’ll be talking about courage. 

Courage is so important when it comes to expecting and experiencing the testimonies that God has in store for us. The tests and trials of life can make people ostracize us, ridicule us, say terrible things about us and even avoid us altogether. You must understand that the path to testimonies is full of obstacles, ridicule, betrayal, and misunderstanding and if one isn’t careful, all this might lead to self-doubt. This can be a very trying period of life and you will need a good dose of courage to make it.

Luke 1:34-38 (NLT) 

Mary asked the angel, “but how can this happen? I am a virgin.” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.” Mary responded, “I am the lord’s servant, may everything you have said about me come true.” And the angel left her. 

The news the angel gave to Mary was unthinkable and troubling, “…you’re going to have a child, without a husband…”.  Under the law of Moses, to be pregnant without a husband was punishable by death. Knowing all this, Mary’s response to all that Gabriel said was; “…be it unto me according to your word.” It takes a lot of courage to take that position. That courageous stand earned her an unforgettable place in history. 

As we follow God’s destiny for our lives, life’s tests will come, it would be tough and it could be long. At that time, we’ll have to make a choice either to compromise our stand or to take a courageous stand. If we’re going to see our dreams come true, if we’re going to live in the reality of the testimony God has written and settled concerning us, we must be strong and courageous, we must not turn aside or deviate. If we stay through it like Mary did, we’ll see the manifestation of our testimony. 

I pray that the Spirit of God will fill your heart with courage on a new level in Jesus’ name.
