Wednesday 17th March 

A lovely Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for all that we’re learning and we thank Him for that which He has written concerning your life. We’ve been looking at the building blocks for a testimony and today we’ll be talking about courage. 

Courage is so important when it comes to expecting and experiencing the testimonies that God has in store for us. The tests and trials of life can make people ostracize us, ridicule us, say terrible things about us and even avoid us altogether. You must understand that the path to testimonies is full of obstacles, ridicule, betrayal, and misunderstanding and if one isn’t careful, all this might lead to self-doubt. This can be a very trying period of life and you will need a good dose of courage to make it.

Luke 1:34-38 (NLT) 

Mary asked the angel, “but how can this happen? I am a virgin.” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.” Mary responded, “I am the lord’s servant, may everything you have said about me come true.” And the angel left her. 

The news the angel gave to Mary was unthinkable and troubling, “…you’re going to have a child, without a husband…”.  Under the law of Moses, to be pregnant without a husband was punishable by death. Knowing all this, Mary’s response to all that Gabriel said was; “…be it unto me according to your word.” It takes a lot of courage to take that position. That courageous stand earned her an unforgettable place in history. 

As we follow God’s destiny for our lives, life’s tests will come, it would be tough and it could be long. At that time, we’ll have to make a choice either to compromise our stand or to take a courageous stand. If we’re going to see our dreams come true, if we’re going to live in the reality of the testimony God has written and settled concerning us, we must be strong and courageous, we must not turn aside or deviate. If we stay through it like Mary did, we’ll see the manifestation of our testimony. 

I pray that the Spirit of God will fill your heart with courage on a new level in Jesus’ name.

 Tuesday 16th March 

A beautiful Tuesday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for another day, and we trust God your work is going-on well. We're still talking about building blocks for our testimonies. The building block we are discussing today is the building block of joy. 

Life’s tests are not comfortable and desirable to anyone, they are tough, challenging, and discouraging and they can they persist for a long time and it’s important that we are careful at such times. This is because life test can make you to become angry and bitter, sad and offended. Once you are in that position, you put yourself in a place where enemy can take advantage of you. 

The Bible says in Romans 14:17 (NLT) 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. 

If you want the Holy Spirit to move around your life and you want God to walk with you, they must live in an atmosphere of joy.

Sadness almost robbed Hannah the birth of her testimony, but the moment resisted sorrow with the spirit of joy, her story changed for the better.

1 Samuel 1 vs 16-20 (NLT), 16 Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” 17 “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” 18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad. 19 The entire family got up early the next morning and went to worship the LORD once more. Then they returned home to Ramah. When Elkanah slept with Hannah, the LORD remembered her plea, 20 and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the LORD for him.”

Hannah had been expectant for a child for a long time, her situation was compounded because Peninnah the second wife of her husband had no difficulty having babies. Even though Hannah was very committed to her religious activities like prayers, and worship in the temple, she also unrelenting in her complains. She had several arguments with her husband and was bitter towards Peninnah. All these negative attitudes just shut her system down and she could just conceive!

The day her attitude changed and she gave up her fights with her husband and bitterness toward the second wife, every other thing changed. When her facial expression lightened up and there was no more sadness in her heart, the hold of barrenness was broken and she conceived and gave birth to Samuel. 

God stays in an atmosphere of joy and God can only work with those who are full of joy. 

The Bible says in Joel 1:12 (NLT), 

“The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees — all the fruit trees—have dried up.   And the people’s joy has dried up with them.” 

When people’s hearts are no longer joyful, then their lives become empty and stressful.  

May the joy of the Lord flood your heart by the power of the Holy Spirit today and may the joy of the Lord be your strength and cause you to produce that which He desires for you in Jesus’ name.

 Monday 15th March 

A beautiful Monday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for today and we are still talking about the building blocks for testimonies. What are the blocks we need to put together to ensure that the testimony that we are building becomes a reality? We had discussed some of these blocks in the last few days. Today, we will discuss the building block of patience. 

It's important we understand that no great building can be built overnight. You can't build anything great and strong that will outlive generations overnight. It takes some time. Patience is therefore required. 

Habakkuk 2 vs 2 (NLT) says, 2 Then the LORD said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. 3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

If you cooperate with God, the dream and the testimony that God has planned for  your life will surely come, it may seem delayed, but wait for it. It will surely come. The essential ingredients that we need to engage to ensure that we are to wait is patience.

What is patience? Patient is the ability to stay constant and steady even in the midst of pressure. When things are going out of control around you and time seems to be running out on you, but you are still stable and steady. Engaging the building block of patience helps you overcome the pressure.

Hebrew 6:12 (NIV) says, 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Faith is important but you also need patience. Patience really pays wonderful dividend. When we look at the life of Sarah and Elizabeth, we see the crucial part patience played in their lives. Despite of God’s promise, Sarah waited for twenty-five years before she received Isaac. The same goes for Elizabeth, even though she was advanced in age she waited for God to manifest His promise and John the Baptist came.

My prayer for you that the Lord will give you grace and strength to cultivate this force of patience and see all that God has promised you delivered in the name of Jesus.

 Sunday 14th March 

A beautiful Sunday morning to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for today and we thank God for His love and for His care.

We are still talking about building blocks for testimonies, how we build the foundation for the manifestation of the testimony that God has designed for us. We’ve discussed a number of those building blocks earlier and but today we’ll be looking at this building block called love.

When it comes to walking with God, there is no single factor or principle that can take the place of the other, they are all important in their own way and they function in their own place. It’s like an integrated circuit, everything is connected in one way or the other and to take one out can stop the whole system. So if there is a problem our “love block”, it could affect the whole building. 

Love is so important that Jesus said we settle our love walk with other humans before making prayers, or service to Him. When going through a season of test and trial, it’s easy to become offended, angry, critical and not show love others. But that’s exactly when we need to ensure that we are walking in love.

Galatians 5:6 (NLT) 

 For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love. 

Physical activities are good but what is more important is what’s going on in your spirit, your heart must be filled with love, why? The faith in your spirit expressing itself through love. 

 Hebrews 13:1-2 (NLT) 

Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! 

Love was expressed here by being hospitable and being kind to strangers. 

The story of Abraham in Genesis 18:1-15, is a reminder of how by welcoming three men into his home and being hospitable to them brought him and his wife closer to their testimony. Abraham didn’t know that the men he was entertaining were like the trinity, they were heavenly beings. After his kindness to them, he was told; “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife Sarah, will have a son!” That’s the power of love literarily connected him to his testimony. 

We must take every opportunity we have to be of service to others, we must be hospitable and jovial, not allowing our tests and challenges make us angry and bitter. Then you’ll see how God works in your life. 

My prayer for you is that as God sends your destiny helpers your way, you will not miss them in the name of Jesus. In whatever form they come, may you will not miss them and may you be kind and hospitable to them in Jesus name. This is your season of testimonies!

 Saturday 13th March 

A beautiful Saturday to you in the name of Jesus, it’s a lovely day and we thank God for His help and His grace. We are still talking about the building blocks for testimonies. 

Every life created by God was designed to be a winner, to be victorious, healthy, wealthy, and to live a fulfilled life. Everyone here on earth today including you has been designed by God to be a testimony and that’s the record of heaven concerning your life. But God expects us to bring those unseen realties as recorded in heaven to a place of physical manifestation here on earth, and the building block that answers to that is what we call Faith . 

Faith is that block that helps us connect with the unseen realities in heaven and bring them to physical manifestation on earth.

 Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) 

 Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as the real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. 

Here the bible states in clear terms that faith deals solely with the unseen. Whatever you’re trusting God for (a husband, a child, a job etc) in your life that is yet to be seen, that’s exactly what we’re meant to use our faith for. God expects us to go into the His word which gives the record of the unseen realities as reported in heaven, lock and develop our faith for these realities, build our convictions and capacity for it and by faith begin to experience these realities in the physical realm. 

Our conviction is much more on those things we do not see in heaven than those we see on earth and as we lock our mind and spirit into those things, it begins to pull them into our reality here on earth.

When faith fully takes hold of you, it affects you so much that it changes your conviction, your conversation and your conduct. The moment you begin to see these changes, you’ll soon find yourself living in this reality of the unseen, though it has not manifested in your physical space yet, it’s only a matter of time before that which you long for becomes real in your life. 

Remember the story of Hannah (the mother of Samuel) in the bible; she was without child for many years despite going to the temple and praying regularly. But the moment she heard the word of God as spoken to her by Elias the priest and she received it in her heart, she rose up with her countenance changed,  conceived it in her spirit, changed her conversation and her conduct,  then she conceived and gave birth to Samuel. 

My prayer for you is that the same faith will enter your heart today in the name of Jesus, whatever it is that you cannot see in your reality but is recorded in God’s word for you, as you begin to work on your faith, confessing and declaring it, it will become a reality in your life in the name of Jesus. 

The building block of faith is important if we’re going to see our testimonies become reality.

Friday 12th March 

A great day to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for another weekend and we trust God that your day is going well. I pray God’s strength, wisdom, peace and rest will flood your mind in the name of Jesus.

This week we’ve been talking about the building blocks for testimonies and we exemplified this in the lives of Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah. We said the major building block for testimony are the tests we go through. They are usually very challenging, distracting and discouraging. But if we know how to handle them and go through them with the right attitude we’ll come out victorious. 

1 Corinthians 10:13(NLT) 

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptations to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

I trust God that no matter what you are facing now, as you begin to take advantage of these building blocks and God will help you find a way of escape in the name of Jesus. God is the architect and designer and all we have to do is follow the design, putting each block where it out to be. Without seeing the design  it’s easy to become despondent, frustrated and hopeless. Why? Hope is critical when going through life's tests  and hope is an important block when it comes to building our testimony.                                                                  It’s important we never lose hope in the midst of our challenges, 

 Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hope is an active and living expectation of a preferred or desirable outcome and it works in hand with your faith. Just like the design of your dream house you have pasted on your wall, the more you look at it, the more hopeful you become that one day, this dream will become a reality.

Psalm 27:13 

 I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 

The Psalmist was saying here; I had so many challenges and I would have given up but my hope of seeing what God has said, kept me going. It’s important you never lose hope.   

Sometimes, there seem to be no hope anywhere in the natural, when this happens, we must understand that there is a living hope we can find in the Word of God.

Romans 4:18 (AMP) 

[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, so [numberless] shall your descendants be. 

At this point in Abraham’s life, there was no human reason to give him hope, not from the experts , nor his body or Sarah’s. The only place he had hope was in what God said to him.  When you get to that point in your life where you can’t find hope anywhere, go into the Word of God, look upon His promises, think about it deeply and meditate on it continually until it births supernatural hope in your heart. Stay rooted in this hope and you’ll see it deliver your testimonies to you in the name of Jesus.

No matter what don’t give up hope, God is on your side.

Thursday 11th March 

A lovely Thursday to you in the name of Jesus, I’m sure your week is going well. We are still talking about building blocks for testimonies. 

In the first week, we said God has designed every life to be a testimony. You might be going through a series of tests and challenges now but understand this, before you showed up; God designed your life to be a testimony.

 This week, we’ve been talking about the building blocks we need to use to build our testimony into reality. Though God has settled this in eternity, we need to build these realities into time. We need to engage these building blocks and build these testimonies into our lives. Also, we mentioned that the major building block that God uses in building testimonies in our lives are the tests we go through. Though we want to avoid these tests but remember, these tests are the foundation for the testimonies that come into our lives.

Sarah the Abraham was having difficulty having a child. They waited for decades but nothing happened. At age 75, God told Abram that he’ll have a child, but after waiting a while Sarah somehow convinced herself that she wasn’t the one meant to bear her husband the promised child. She introduced Abram to a younger lady called Hagar who later got pregnant and gave birth to a child and this further complicated Sarah’s situation. Sarah’s season of test made her count herself out because of her age but God never counted her out.

Genesis 18:11-13 (NLT)

Abraham and Sarah were both very old by this time and Sarah was long past the age of having children. So she laughed silently to herself and said “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master-my husband-is also so old?” Then the Lord said to Abraham, “why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘can an old woman like me have a baby?’

Sarah never doubted God’s ability, she simply could not picture herself being the recipient of the kind of blessing God had promised them. That is the same test a lot of us go through when we’ve waited long for something that God promised. We begin to give ourselves all sorts of reason why we cannot live in the reality of the testimony God already designed for us.

I pray in the name of Jesus that God would turn every painful situation around for you in the name of Jesus. May He will renew your youth and your mind as He did for Sarah. She later said, “those who hear my testimony will laugh with me.” God will cause men to celebrate your testimony with you in the name of Jesus.

Building Blocks For Testimony 3

Tuesday 9th March 

A wonderful Tuesday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for this lovely day and we thank God for what He’s doing in our life, remember every life is testimony including yours.

Yesterday we started talking about the building blocks for testimonies, if we’re going to build anything; we need the right materials or the building blocks. Also we said the major building block God uses when it comes to building testimonies in our life are life’s tests. Somebody said the word testimony means tests are many and in reality, testimonies come from the tests of life.

Life’s tests are those situations that are challenging, a lot of times they are humiliating, they can be very distracting and discouraging. But it’s in the midst of all these things that God begins to work out His beauty, His power, His wisdom and His grace in our lives especially when we handle the tests of life according to His word.

Let’s look at the life of this young lady called Mary again. Can you imagine yourself as a young lady in a small communal environment? You become pregnant without a husband, and you tell people God is the father of the child. According to the law, any woman found to be pregnant without being married should be stoned to death. So you can imagine how challenging this period must have been for Mary and how challenging it was for her fiancé Joseph.

Matthew 1:18-20 (NLT)

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, to whom she was engaged was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, the son of David” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.”

Mary was probably going through some emotional and mental pressure and it became so bad that Joseph was disappointed and was planning to put her off quietly. God sent an angel to Joseph explaining the situation to him and gave him perspective so he could provide Mary with the covering and support she needed at that time.

I don’t know the situation in your life today, but I pray that God will give you the grace and strength to go through it, God will send to you the right people, the Josephs that would provide cover and support for you in the time of testing so you can come out successful in the name of Jesus.

No matter what God has said to you, the challenges and tests of life will come, and I pray you will not fail in Jesus’ name.

Monday 8th March 

A beautiful Monday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for today, for another wonderful work week and to all the women out there we say "Happy Women’s Day". Today is international Women's Day and if you've noticed, all the principal character we've been using are women - Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah. Why? God recognises and honours women and we appreciate them too. 

This week we’ll be talking about “The building blocks for testimonies.”

If you are involved in any type of building, maybe a house or even the immune system of your body, there are certain things that are important and are required to be used. Whether you'll call them building materials or call them building blocks, they're required things that you need to build anything that will last.

Sometimes the materials used for building are not the things we like, but it's not a function of what we like or not; if it’s important for the building to stand, then we go with it. For instance, I learnt that one of the materials used in making a vaccine is the virus or bacteria that is causing the problem. The virus or bacteria is weakened, used in creating the vaccine which is then inject it into the body. The body then develops its immune system and be able to resist that virus or bacteria. 

Just as medical experts inject virus that is meant to be undesirable into our body to build our immune system, God also uses something that we find undesirable to build our testimony, that thing is called tests. The tests of life, the challenges of life, the trials of life are the major building blocks that God uses to bring testimonies into our lives.

Nobody likes test and that's the truth. When we were in school and they say there would be a test most students are not happy. Why? Tests can put you in a very difficult situation; test can be very challenging, humiliating, distracting and discouraging especially when you don’t know how to handle them. But the truth is, these tests of life are the thing that help us develop. If we know how to handle them, life’s tests help us discover ourselves, they help us discover the reality of God, the truthfulness of God's word, His covenant and that's why it's important we learn how to handle tests in our life if we want to build a life of testimony.

The Bible says in James 1:2-4 (NLT)

2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

God says, count it all joy, be excited when you face the tests and trials of life because it’s the way God works His testimony out in our lives. He said if you endure the tests and have the right attitude, you'll come to that point in your life where you'll be perfect, completely developed in your faith and will lack nothing. That is God's desire for you, to come to that level in life where all your needs, all the desires of life are richly provided, your life becomes a testimony. But guess what? The pathway to that lifestyle is through life's tests.

I pray God gives us the wisdom and grace to go through the test successfully and come out victoriously in Jesus’ name
