Wednesday 5th January 2020

A wonderful Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus, we thank God for another day we thank God for this year, 2021, and we are moving right along in the year.

We are still talking about Your Sure Investments and we were talking about the fact that in Christ, there is a place where your investments in this life are secure. We are living in a world of uncertainties,  things have become very very precarious and as human beings we need a sense of stability. And what we are learning from the Word of God this month is that there's a place in God, where the things we've committed to Him are safe and secure.

Mark 10:17- 22 (NLT) 

As he went out into the street, a man came running up, greeted him with great reverence, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to get eternal life?” Jesus said, “Why are you calling me good? No one is good, only God. You know the commandments: Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t lie, don’t cheat, honor your father and mother.” He said, “Teacher, I have—from my youth—kept them all!” Jesus looked him hard in the eye—and loved him! He said, “There’s one thing left: Go sell whatever you own and give it to the poor. All your wealth will then be heavenly wealth. And come follow me.” The man’s face clouded over. This was the last thing he expected to hear, and he walked off with a heavy heart. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go".

This man was rich, he had a, high social standing in society. But he still felt his life was empty,  so many things were not secure even though humanly speaking his life looked together. He met us and said "I need to you to help me, I want to secure my life eternally. I need to inherit eternal life.

Jesus said to him "keep the law" and he said "Master, I've kept the law and this is where am today, I still need something". Jesus then said to him " there is a treasure in heaven, a safe heavenly account, that most of you don't know about.  He said "You want to secure yourself in that, sell your possession, give to the poor and you would have secured the future by investing in your heavenly account. This man understood earthly saving system, he understood earthly investment system, but this heaven thing he couldn't understand. He couldn't just imagine it. He said, "Master, I didn't know about this heavenly treasure". This was because he was blind to it's reality , so he went away sorrowful.

There is an account in heaven, there are treasures reserved in heaven, that we can actually use to better our lives on earth and that's what Jesus wanted to introduce this man to. But  because he couldn't see it, he could not benefit from it and he went away sorrowful.

There are treasures available to us that is beyond what we know in this world and that is the most secure account we can put our investment in.

This man lost out because he didn’t understand it and he couldn't see it. 

I pray in the name of Jesus before the end of this series God will open your eyes to see it, and how to make the investments  so that you can enjoy a rich and better life full of security, both in this world and in the world to come.

Tuesday 5th January 2021 

A beautiful Tuesday to you in the name of Jesus. 

We are still talking about “Your Sure Investment.” 

God is telling you that in this year 2021, He is your sure Investment. And like we’ve said right from the beginning of this teaching on the 1st of January, I want you to mark your mind and settle it in your heart that God is for you, with you and in you; that no matter what you’ve lost in 2020, God is doing a new thing in 2021. 

We read in Malachi 3: 13 - 18 of how God said He will make a difference “again” in your life; that you will return and see the difference between who serves God and who doesn’t. Why? 

God has opened the book of remembrance and your name is on it. Since you have chosen to honour and stay true to Him. In spite of the challenges some of us have faced, we are still serving God in truth and spirit. God will show up mightily on our behalf this year in the name of Jesus. 

Don’t let fear, anxiety and worry take hold of your heart. Just stay true and faithful to God and you will see how great and mighty He will show Himself on your behalf in the name of Jesus. 

We read again from where we read yesterday. 

Isaiah 45: 19 (AMP)

I have not spoken in secret, In a corner of a land of darkness; I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain [with no benefit for yourselves].’ I, the LORD, speak righteousness [the truth—trustworthy, a straightforward correlation between deeds and words], Declaring things that are upright.

God is showing Himself strong on our behalf. He is boasting in this scripture that you would not serve Him in vain. I love Cece Winans’ music a lot and there is a particular one she sang that says “He’s never failed me yet.” When you truly follow and serve God in truth and spirit, you will find out that God can be depended on. Even when it seems like things are not going the way you expected it to go, understand this that God has never and will never fail anybody and it will not start with you. 

He has not failed me yet, so He will not fail you. Stay with Him and watch how great and mighty He will be on your behalf. Trust Him as your sure investment. No matter what you think you have lost in the year 2020, God will turn it around speedily for you in the name of Jesus. Let this be settled in your heart. 

Mary asked the angel, Gabriel when he told her she would have a child. She said “…how will this thing happen with all the limitations in have. I have no clue how this will be possible.” She wasn’t given all the details but God still did the impossible in her life because she believed. You don’t need to know all the details just believe and watch God do the impossible in your life. 

Just know God and submit yourself to Him and watch how He will turn things around for you this year in the name of Jesus.

 Monday 4th January 2021 

A beautiful Monday to you in the name of Jesus. 

We thank for you New Year.

Today is first workday of 2021. I know in some places some people are still on holiday but officially today is the first workday and I pray in the name of Jesus, your work will be different this year; you will work from a place of rest in Jesus.  Your work will be productive in the name of Jesus. Promotion will attend to you in the name of Jesus. Grace will attend to the works of your hands in Jesus name!

We are talking about “Your Sure Investment” and all throughout this week I want get your mind set and spirit ready to the fact that God has great benefits for you; that it is not vain to serve God and that there are practical benefits in following Him in this world and the world to come. 

Isaiah 45: 19 (AMP) says,

I have not spoken in secret, In a corner of a land of darkness; I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain [with no benefit for yourselves].’ I, the LORD, speak righteousness [the truth—trustworthy, a straightforward correlation between deeds and words], Declaring things that are upright.

It seems our God was “boasting” about His abilities in this portion of the scripture. It’s like He was beating His chest and challenging the children of Israel of the many benefits in serving Him; that He was not calling them to a fruitless service, or to seek Him for nothing but to get them a just reward. This is what God is saying to you this year 2021.

God is beating His chest and saying no matter how challenging things are, if you walk with Him and truly serve Him in spirit and truth, He will be your sure investment. He is guaranteeing that you will in the place of losses you will experience restoration, increase and prosperity. 

Some of us might be saying “if only you know how bad things have been for me.” 

If you know the story of Israel, things were also very bad for them. They were kicked out of their own homeland for thousands of years, millions of them we killed under the holocaust. They still suffered many things even after returning to their homeland in 1948. But in spite of all that they have suffered, they still stand out as one of the most respectable nations in the world today.  They are a living example of the Psalm that says, “you have prepared a table for me in the presence of my enemy.” They are surrounded by enemy nations but even with that, God has kept His promises to them. They are thriving and moving forward because God has said to them “…seeking Me is not in vain.” 

So, if we can see that in physical nation of Israel, how much more those of us who are God’s spiritual children. 

I want you to understand and settle it in your mind that this year 2021, you will enjoy God’s great benefits for you. There is a clear place where your investment in God is sure and secured. 

In your walk with God this year, let it be settled. God is on your side and He will show up for you in the mighty name of Jesus.

 Sunday 3rd January 2021 

Hello and a beautiful Sunday to you in the name of Jesus, and I still say to you, Happy New Year, and not just a Happy New Year, may it also be a New You and better You in the name of Jesus.

We thank God for how He's kept us, we thank Him for how He's watched over us bringing us into this wonderful year, 2021. This year started on a weekend and my prayer for you is that it would be a year of rest, it would be a year of relaxation, it will be a year of compensation and a year of restoration in the name of Jesus.

Throughout this month January we'll be talking about “Your Sure Investment”.

The year, 2020 was challenging for a lot of people in so many ways and a lot of people suffered losses in one way or the other. We trust God that this year, as you understand that you have a Sure Investment with God and you play along with these rules, we'll see restoration in every way, in the name of Jesus. Like we said at the beginning of this series, if there's anything I want you to settle early and mark your mind with, it is the fact that there are practical benefits in this world and in the world to come in serving God. If you serve Him in spirit and truth, there are great benefits. And believe me, heaven’s rewards are your most secure investment.

Malachi 3:13-18(NLT)

“You have said terrible things about me,” says the Lord. “But you say, ‘What do you mean? What have we said against you?’ “You have said, ‘What’s the use of serving God? What have we gained by obeying his commands or by trying to show the Lord of Heaven’s Armies that we are sorry for our sins? From now on we will call the arrogant blessed. For those who do evil get rich, and those who dare God to punish them suffer no harm.’” Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name. “They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”

What the Holy Spirit is saying here through the Prophet Malachi is that God never forgets His own. 

Yes, some of us might have said “Oh we've made losses, things have been so bad in 2020, all the promise of God did not come to pass, we've suffered losses. What's the benefit in serving God? Even the wicked people that don't serve God are having a better life.” But God said "…you will again, this year see the difference in your life, as you commit to God, as you lead your family truthfully, and in spirit to serve Him. God will shock you in the name of Jesus. He said, it will be clear, that you are His special treasure. A book of remembrance is opened before God and if you're truly serving Him, your name is in there.  

Watch what He'll do. Like they say, God is blessing your socks of this year!

Get ready be expectant and watch what my wonderful father would do for you.

Saturday 2nd January 2021 

Hello and a beautiful Saturday to you in the name of Jesus, and I think it's still right to say Happy New Year. We thank God for this year, 2021.

Yesterday we said we'll be talking about "Your sure investment" we'll be talking about that all throughout this month of January. What we want you to understand is this; no matter how challenging the year 2020 has been, people have experienced so many difficulties, they’ve experienced losses in businesses, in their personal lives, some even lost loved ones. What I want you to understand is that God has a sure future, a sure investment for you. There is a place in God where everything you have is safe and secure; yes, there might be uncertainties on earth but in God there is safety and there is sure investment for you.

We'll go on this morning and read Malachi 3:13-18 (NLT)

I believe one of the things God's going to do this year for those who know how to walk with Him, is that He's going to show that there are practical benefits in serving God, both in this world and in the world to come. Some have said “What are the benefits in serving God”? So what exactly is the benefit of serving You. Those who don't serve You are living well, getting rich, they dare You and nothing happens. But God said "I'm your sure investments", I have opened up the book of remembrance, all your names are written there. You are my special treasure and you will know that there are practical benefits for those who truly walk with Me.

I want us to stay focused on this study and you'll see how God indeed is our strong tower and backbone, our loving Father that brings great restoration in your life.

 Friday 1st January 2021 

Praise God! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!!

We thank God for bringing us into the year 2021. Today is the 1st of January, 2021 and it is a Friday. We just thank God for His grace and help. 

It is as if the world and structure of time just knew that the whole year 2020 had been a challenging one, so it is starting the new year on a Friday - a weekend. And you know, we normally say “Thank God it is Friday” because people usually see Friday as a time for them to relax and get refreshed over the weekend. 

In fact, Medical science says most people that have heart attack is usually have it on Mondays because it’s the beginning of the work week, people are always tensed and this situation can have adverse effects on the body, but people feel more relaxed on Fridays. 

So, I pray in the name of Jesus as we are starting this new year, 2021 on a Friday, may it be a season of rest, peace, recreation and refreshments for you. May it be a season of thanksgiving all through for you in the name of Jesus. 2020 was very challenging in so many ways particularly because of the pandemic and the many effects of that but we thank God that we are alive and well to see this year 2021. 

All through January 2021 we will be looking at “Your Sure Investment.”

A lot of people experienced losses in 2020, financially, relationally, and in many other areas and that can be quite painful, but there is a place in God where you and the things you treasure are secured. 

A lot of us don’t know that our walk with God is “Relational” in the sense that there is a bonding part of it, it is “Transformational” in the sense that there is something in God that brings changes to our life. And then, there is also a transactional part of our relationship with God. 

What do I mean by a transactional part?  It is like a business transaction where based on what we do, God does things in return. This is where we see the law of sowing and reaping. 

When we bring these three aspects things together, it makes our relationship with God strong, balanced and robust. So, throughout the month of January, we will be looking at how we can have our investment in God secured. 

“Your Sure Investment – what exactly do we mean?

It means the Return on our investment into the things of God is guaranteed. 

One of the things I want us to know clearly in this month of January and settled permanently is that there are huge benefits in serving God. 

The Bible says in Isaiah 45:19 (AMP) 

19 I have not spoken in secret, in a corner of the land of darkness; I did not call the descendants of Jacob [to a fruitless service], saying, Seek Me for nothing [but I promised them a just reward]. I, the Lord, speak righteousness (the truth—trustworthy, straightforward correspondence between deeds and words); I declare things that are right.

I want you to know very early and settle it in your heart; mark your mind and spirit with it that there are practical benefits in serving God. 

It is not a loss; it is not pain. There are great benefits and you will see that in Jesus name.

A wonderful Thursday to you in the name of Jesus. Today is Thursday the 31st of December, 2020, the very last day of this year.

We are grateful to God for giving us life, for giving us peace, for giving us joy, for His grace and showing us His mercy, and we are thankful to you too. To our friends, our loved ones and everyone out there that make up this whole world together. Sometimes we understand ourselves, sometimes we have misunderstandings, sometimes we fight sometimes we hug. That's what living together is all about. We thank you all for everything.

As I've said most of this week, let us take time to show appreciation and thanksgiving to the people who have been there for us.

1 Corinthians 16:18 in the (AMP)

18 For they gave me respite from labor and rested me and refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Deeply appreciate and thoroughly know and fully recognize such men.

Romans 16:3-4 (NLT) 

3 Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in the ministry of Christ Jesus. 4 In fact, they once risked their lives for me. I am thankful to them, and so are all the Gentile churches. 

Paul said this concerning Aquila and Priscilla, he didn't say I'm thankful to God for them, which is not wrong. He said, I am thankful to them. It's important we learn and practice appreciating people. 

I don't know how it is not other parts of the world but here in Nigeria, when people die, one of the events put together for the dead is called “Celebration of Life”. As commendable as this is, I don't think we need to wait for people to die before we celebrate them, we can celebrate their life while they are alive. Let's not lose this time and opportunity to appreciate people. 

I am rich and blessed because of the relationships that God has put around me. In the Yoruba language they say “Eniyan ni aso mi” that is people are my covering or people cover, shield and love me.

I’m grateful to my team at work, and all the teams I work with. 

And I want to say a huge thank you to my family. I've been blessed with a wonderful, wonderful family. I love and enjoy family time I love to sit down with my family. I love to play with them, we gist we fight but I'm grateful for my family - my lovely wife Modupe, she's my childhood friend and my lovely wife for almost 20 years, my lovely girls, Molayo and Adeoluwa. Molayo helps with my writing, Adeoluwa comes to check on me. And when I'm in my study working and I say “…please I don't want noise”, they keep it all quiet. 

I'm very grateful for my team - Pastor K, Pastor Yinka, Iyayi, all of them, I have a wonderful church I pastor, extremely supportive people, I love you all!

My brother, my sisters, my mother (she worries and prays for me a lot. I tell her the prayer and worry combination is interesting)

I'm very grateful to all those people who care so much as to notice when there is a strain in my voice, and sleepy eyes - Yemisi like Biodun Kolawole and many others, thank you. I am grateful to all my friends and mentors. I'm grateful for the love and favour I enjoy, I'm grateful to you. You have made life worth living. 

I can't call all the names but from my heart, I want to appreciate all of you. And I trust God that we'll do great and mighty things together in the year, 2021. 

We are crossing over in victory, we are crossing over victoriously and whatever has been lost in 2020, we'll get multiple folds in 2021 in Jesus name.

Let's reach out to those we love, let them know you love them and celebrate their lives. And let's see what great things God will do with us together.

We are still saying “ Thank You” . 

It important in our own life that we say thank you to people who have been with us and made a difference in our life.  

Yes, it is important to thank God but He also made it clear that it is important we appreciate and thank people too. 

1 Corinthians 16 : 18 (AMP)

So, we are seeing the importance of appreciating people. In fact if we read from Romans 16 in the New Living Translation of the Bible, it is titled “Paul greeting his friends.” From Romans 16 : 1 - 16, Paul was just appreciating his friends in different places, churches and countries for how they’ve helped and supported his ministry. 

It is important to recognize and appreciate the people that help and support us as we pursue our dreams.

I have a team that have made this Daily Voice Devotional and and I truly appreciate them. Femi Olaiya started this with me. He called me sometime in the year said the Daily Voice Devotional could be a blessing to more people if we turned it into a Podcast and he made it happen. 

The touching thing for me was that sometime in December, Femi had a health challenge and had to be in the hospital for a while and  Biodun who wasn't task was was our social media engagement took over and we just ran with it. Most people wouldn’t even have noticed. Femi in spite of his condition was still checking in to be sure everything was fine. I also want to thank Joseph, Tobi and Molayo for helping out with the writing too. 

Thank you to all our partners who support us financially, It costs us money to do these things. Some people are shocked when I tell them how much it cost us to do this on different platforms and on radio. I also want to say thank you to you that listen and read DVD with Niyi Adekunle you are helping us make a difference.

Thank you to our dear subscribers in different cities and countries. Believe me we are in every single continent; I saw nations like Guam, Vietnam and a place called  French Polynesia, I had never heard of the place before until I went to read about it. We have  subscribers in Israel, Indonesia, USA, Japan, Philippines, Ukraine, Benin Republic, Nigeria, the UK, Ireland, Colombia, Russia, Germany, Canada,  Australia and many more, we are grateful to all of you.  

It is not just my story; it is our story and I want to once more say a big “Thank You” to all of you for making this happen. 

May God send you timely help, may God refresh your soul in Jesus name.

A beautiful Tuesday to you in the name of Jesus. We thank God for today and we thank God as we’re gradually drawing to the end of the year.

We’re still saying thank you though we’re appreciating God we still want to say thank you to you, to the people around us who have made life so different, who have made life wonderful and worth living, who have been with us through thick and thin we want to say a big thank you to them. Yesterday we spoke on how God loves to be appreciated,  God loves us to thank Him and we created in His image and likeness and since God loves to be appreciated it’s just natural that human beings would love to be appreciated too. We also read in 1 John 4:20  and it spoke about if we claimed that we love God who we don’t hear and we don’t see people would say we’re lying; so if we’re claiming to appreciate and thank a God we don’t see and we don’t love people that we see then we’re lying.

It is important we learn to say thank you and sometimes in this culture saying thank you is one of the most difficult things to do but it is important to say thank you and it is important to appreciate people. 

We’re going to read 1 Corinthians 16: 18(amplified) 

They have refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So fully acknowledge such men and deeply appreciate them. (New Century Version ) 

They have refreshed my spirit and yours. You should recognize the value of people like these. Sometimes these people aren’t the high and mighty they’re just normal, simple people, but no matter what it is important to appreciate that have brought refreshing into our souls, joy to our lives, that have stood by us.

It’s in the bible that God shows us it’s important to appreciate people and Paul in his letters wrote so many people’s names that were blessings to him and he appreciated them. Other things I feel we should practice for the next few days is to write it down or keep a mental note of people you need to call up, send messages or meet and say thank you. 

Thank you for standing with me, thank you for making this year different, thank you for all you’ve done this gear 2020.

Jesus was talking in Matthew 25 from verse 35 and He talked about how He was sick and no one checked on Him, He was hungry and no one fed Him, He was naked and no one clothed Him. Then the people asked when this happened and in verse 40 He said if you’ve done these things to the least if these my brothers and sisters then you’ve done it to me and the lesson I learnt there was that the way we treat people is the way you treat God. So if you express love and show kids to people Jesus says you’re doing that to Him.

Let us go out today and appreciate people, let us tell them thank you and they add value to our lives, people that have brought rest to our soul, people that have stood by us through thick and thin. Even Jesus at the last supper He told His disciples in Luke 22 that you’re the ones who have stood with me in my time of challenges and because of this just as my Father has appointed me a kingdom I appreciate you by appointing you a kingdom also.

So let’s go out and say thank you to people, appreciate them, thank you for their service, let them know you appreciate and love them.
