  • Episode 132: Four Segments...Plus Another One!
This is a SUPER-SIZED episode. You know why? Because you deserve it! We carried our new format into another week and brought you some good, old-fashioned podcasting gold. In this week's episode, Jon laments the death of all things and shares his existential crisis over aging celebrities. We also dust off our Netflix lists and tell you what's been lurking on them, begging to be watched. Ryan gives us his quick thoughts on Bohemian Rhapsody, and Jon eventually talks about his experience seeing The Grinch. But more important than all of that: Our biggest fan FINALLY makes her podcast debut with some hard-hitting analysis. Check it out!

  • Episode 131: The Start of Something New?
The times, they might be a-changing! In this episode, we test out a brand new format and podcast at a very high level. Haven't gone to the theater in a while? Have no fear, you won't have to have seen anything to appreciate the audio gold that follows. Join us as we engage in some generic Halloween talk (including a discussion of the sparest candy) and then stay by the channel as Ryan tries to puppet master me to the movies. We also get into the beating that is Daylight Saving Time and wrap it all up with our thoughts on our trip to see The Shining on Halloween.

  • Episode 130 - Review: The Haunting of Hill House
WE ARE BACK! We make our triumphant return to podcasting at a high level by taking a deep dive into the breakout Netflix hit The Haunting of Hill House. But first, where have we been? Hang around after the review, when we wrap up our conversation with a little ghost talk.

  • Episode 129 - Review: First Man
One small step for man, one giant leap...into a good old-fashioned podcast throw-down between our intrepid hosts. In the midst of their review of First Man, things may have gotten a little heated. Oh, and Jon experienced some technical difficulties, so there's a nearly unbearable clicking on his track after about 20 minutes. Soooooo...um...Enjoy?

  • Episode 128 - Review: Venom
WE ARE VENOM! No, not really...Mostly, we're underwhelmed.
Jon and Ryan break down Tom Hardy's performance and share their thoughts on the movie-that-could've-been-but-wasn't. Did the absence of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man hurt the film? Were there any super-nerdy easter eggs that only a true believer would recognize? How many whiskeys did Jon drink while watching it? The guys answer all these questions and more in this unusually short episode.
Note from Jon: If you're wondering how I could be so good at my Venom impression, I have a confession to make. It was part vocal skill, part editing magic. Like 70/30. Fine...60/40. Enjoy!

  • Episode 127 - Review: Iron Fist Season 2
After weeks of anticipation, we finally did it. We reviewed the second season of the critically-acclaimed* Netflix original series from Marvel, Iron Fist. Was it better than the spectacular** first season? Listen in as Jon & Ryan share their full and unapologetic thoughts. But first you have to get through a little "almond talk," because of course. Thanks for listening, Colleen!
*I'm sure at least ONE critic liked the first season. Maybe the showrunner's mom has a blog?
**Spectacular in this case means absolutely miserable from beginning to end.

  • Episode 125 - Review: The House with a Clock in Its Walls
I know you're confused. We are too. No, this is not Goosebumps 2. This is a different movie. This one has Jack Black. That one doesn't, but the first one did. This one has a weird title that if you remove one very specific letter, it becomes an adult film. I probably would've preferred to watch that version. But Ryan liked it (because he was Michael Jackson'd), and we argued. It's what we do. Happy Fall, D1s!

  • Episode 123 - Review: The Predator
Ryan is going to HATE the end of this episode...but that is what you get when you pass off your editing duties onto your self-possessed (and self-preserving) cohost.
Join us as we review the newest edition to the Predator franchise. Does it successfully take the baton from Arnold and run with it? You'll have to tune to find out! (Spoiler: It doesn't. It takes the baton, then farts, then falls down. And then falls down again. Then farts. Repeatedly. Listen anyway.)
