Damn Fine TV

This week on Twin Peaks Tuesdays, it's the beginning of the end. Bittersweet is a word we used a lot to describe these episodes. Some characters are finally getting their happily ever after, but at the cost of 25 years spent apart. We say our final goodbye to someone very special, and though it's an absolutely beautiful tribute, it means never seeing them again. Other characters are reawakened or awakening for the first time, and as exciting as it all truly is, we can't help but think about there only being 2 episodes left!

So, go grab a damn fine coffee and meet us in the red room!

This week on Twin Peaks Tuesdays, we discuss the many ways in which Twin Peaks challenges our emotional outlook on certain topics - like cheering for the bad guy when he's up against other bad guys, how nostalgia can make you like bad songs, and why the simple act of packing sandwiches for a trip to the woods can carry so much weight. We also talk about how Twin Peaks continues to masterfully create such a porous space between dreams and waking life. Plus, we definitely know a lot about crimes and gangs, and we prove it...jk.

So, go grab a damn fine coffee, or a nice Bordeaux, and meet us in the red room!

This week on the show we're talking all about secret codes, nostalgia and fan service, the sad and scary realities for Sarah Palmer and Audrey Horne, the importance of dreams, and, once again, the fact that Bobby Briggs could absolutely, 100% get it. (Get your shit together, Shelly.)

We've decided to deputize ourselves into the Blue Rose Task Force - I mean, that's how that works, right? - so, go grab a damn fine coffee, or a nice Bordeaux, and meet us in the red room!

This week on Twin Peaks Tuesdays, we're covering Parts Nine and Ten. These episodes feel a like a bit of a shaky landing after the wild ride of Part Eight; Gotta Light is one hell of a tough act to follow. These may not be our favourite episodes, but they've still got some incredible moments - Bill Hastings! Holy shit! Matthew Lillard is SO underrated - and a ton of plot development that gets us excited for what's to come - just what in the hell is Diane up to with those texts?? And, of course, we're so here for Constance and Albert, and we loved getting another beautiful monologue from the Log Lady.

So, go grab a damn fine coffee and meet us in the red room!

On this week's Twin Peaks Tuesdays, we're covering the big one...yep, we finally made it to Part 8: Gotta Light? This is the episode Jasmin was the most excited and nervous for Mells to see, and if you've seen it yourself, you'll understand why. Up until this episode aired, nothing like Part 8 had ever been seen on television, and we're pretty certain there will never be anything quite like it again. We hope our conversation does the episode justice! Oh, and we cover Part 7 as well, you know, the one with all the sweeping?

So, go grab a damn fine coffee and meet us in the red room! Remember to bring a light!

This week on Twin Peaks Tuesdays, we're covering Season Three, Parts Five & Six. There was a lot to break down in these episodes; our case files were absolutely packed with scribbles and doodles to make sense of! Mells shares some damn fine theories on Richard Horne's parentage and the clues that Hawk found. Jasmin is obsessed with the use of colours and all the echoes - what do they mean?! And the damn fine duo is pleased as punch to finally meet Diane. It's a yrev, very good time.

So, so grab a damn fine coffee and meet us in the red room!

Hello0o0o and welcome to another episode of Twin Peaks Tuesdays! This week we're covering Season Three, Part Three "Call For Help" and Part Four "Brings Back Some Memories." Come dive into the purple ocean with us as we ponder questions like: how can a human body fit through an electrical socket, but shoes get left behind? *Is it* about the bunny? And, could Bobby Briggs get it? (Spoiler...yes, yes he could.) Plus, Mells shares her own Mrs. Jackpots story from a trip to Vegas!

Welcome to the first episode of Twin Peaks Tuesdays! This week, the Damn Fine Duo are covering Twin Peaks Season Three, Parts One & Two. They dig into topics like: Where (and when) is Cooper? Does Mr. C have a standing appointment at the tanning beds? Who (or what) was in the cell next to Bill Hastings? And just how in the hell would Shelly know if James had always been cool?

On this episode of the Weekly Watch...Mells and Jasmin aren't feeling the penultimate episode of Westworld season three - like, what is even real and worth an emotional investment on this show? And if you can't tell, does it matter? Still, at least the show looks pretty!

With the bad news out of the way, these Queens of the small screen turn their attention to the last run of episodes from Twin Peaks season 2. As always, there's a lot happening in this small, coffee-loving town. The supernatural elements and horror really heat up, new loves are formed and old loves are lost, but, most importantly Major Briggs meets a horse. Oh, and, how's Annie?
