Damn Fine TV

This time on Damn Fine TV...

We're kicking off our Yellowjackets season 1 rewatch! We are buzzing with anticipation for season 2, and figured we all could use a little refresher on what's already happened. Spoilers are inevitable, so if you're new to the hive, listen at your own risk!

A video version of this podcast is available on Spotify. It was first created back in early 2022 for our Bookhouse Babe Patrons. It was before we had a better handle on audio for Zoom, so J's track may not have the quality you're used to, apologies!

Until next time, here's where you can come hang with us...

What a wild ride, a long journey, a rocky road, you know all the travel references it's been with The Walking Dead. We are sadly at the end of the road (did you sing that in the Boyz II Men way?) with this television series and Mells has thoughts. This time it's not just about Daryl (but isn't it always about Daryl?), she provides her insight into the finale along with some controversial yet brave takes on a few of the character arcs throughout the way.  Did you watch the finale?

Do you watch The Walking Dead? Did you cry? Tell us more, tell us more!

It's Mells Minisode #2 as we dive into Chucky Season 1 and The Watcher. What do they have in common? Nothing! But Mells is determined to give you her thoughts on both this week as we combine a little bit of horror from two very different extremes on what we're affectionately calling Watchucky!

Get your personal items ready for sacrifice, don’t forget that jar of bile, and make sure you have Subway napkins on hand, cause this batch of The Midnight Club episodes is truly emotionally devastating. Like, how the HELL, did *redacted* become such a fave character here at DFTV? All we know is, we weren’t ready to say goodbye. Jasmin was ready (and thrilled) to finally get scared. And Mells was beyond pleased when *spoiler* discovered *spoiler* in the *spoiler* and validated our initial theories about them.

Come join us for a spooky elevator ride, down to an even spookier secret chamber, for a discussion of a not-so-spooky show. What The Midnight Club lacks in traditional horror scares, it certainly makes up for in its raw and honest storytelling and intriguing mysteries. In this discussion we once again share what's working for us about this show and what's not, as well as getting kinda deep about life, death, and birthdays. What are your thoughts on the latest Mike Flanagan show? Head to our Instagram to let us know!

Grab a mug and meet us in the library by the fire, cause we’re kicking off our coverage of the new Netflix series, The Midnight Club. We discuss what worked for us and what didn’t, and whether we’re hopeful for the rest of the season. Also, the 90s are so back, and we are loving it!
