I’ve been looking to record this episode for a while, given that Eastern Europe is both in the news and has gotten a new reputation as a bastion of “based politics.“

To enlighten me on the subject, I brought in my friend Dan Dima, one of the most well-read people I know, especially on Romanian and Eastern European history and political philosophy.
