Born and raised in San Francisco, Oliver ‘Ali’ Nejad is a mainstay in the world of televised poker, breaking onto the scene in 2005 as the host of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship. His poker career started while in college at UC Berkeley. In 1998 he dropped out of college to pursue poker full time, achieving great success and becoming a renowned high-limit cash game player. British-born Chinese comedian Ken Cheng has been snagging laughs and rave reviews with his unique brand of dry, analytical, story-based humor for over a decade. Finalist in the 2015 BBC New Comedy Awards and nominee for Amused Moose’s 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Best Show, Cheng is one of Comedy Central Online’s Ones to Watch, BBC’s 2017 Hot New Talents, The Guardian’s 2018 Pick of The Fringe, and the winner of the coveted 2017 Dave Joke of The Fringe. His past performances have included a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival.

Along with his comedy career, Ken is a professional poker player and had pursued the game full-time before being inspired to enter the comedy world after watching Chris Addison perform. He’s received viral attention for some of his jokes and sketches, including his fictional persona Mark Liu, and a 2017 Twitter thread insulting the flag of every country in the world. Cheng directed the 2015 Cambridge Footlights International Tour Show, which held events in multiple continents, and wrote and starred in his Chinese Comedian series, nominated for Radio 4’s Pick of The Year. Nate Silver is a leading statistician and founder of FiveThirtyEight.com, an award-winning website focused on statistical analysis of politics, sports and science.

As a former syndicated columnist for The New York Times, Silver first gained national attention during the 2008 presidential election, when he correctly predicted the results of the primaries and the presidential winner in 49 states. A diehard baseball fan, Silver is also credited with developing PECOTA (Player Empirical Comparison and Optimization Test Algorithm), a statistical formula for predicting a player’s performance.

In addition to serving as editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight.com and an on-air commentator for ESPN, Silver is the author of numerous books on baseball statistics. His book, “The Signal and The Noise: Why Most Predictions Fail – But Some Don’t” is a New York Times bestseller. Silver has written for ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Slate and The New York Times. He was recently named one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Influential People in Business.

Tony Dunst, a high-stakes pro and one of the most unique personalities in the poker industry, joined the World Poker Tour as host of the WPT Raw Deal segment for Season IX. Dunst beat out hundreds of other contestants in a nationwide search to capture the coveted slot and spent seven seasons strategically analyzing some of the most pivotal hands from World Poker Tour events. When Mike Sexton announced his retirement from the WPT commentary booth, it was only natural for Dunst to be promoted into the role starting with Season XVI.

Dunst has always been an avid player of World Poker Tour events. In Season XII, he was able to etch his name on the venerable WPT Champions Cup™, winning WPT Caribbean and $145,000. Later that season he nearly became a two-time champion, but ultimately fell in third in the WPT World Championship, earning $452,729.

A successful online pro, Dunst began playing poker in home games with friends in college. After visiting Australia to play in the Aussie Millions tournament in 2005, he left the U.S. to move Down Under. He returned to the States a year later and played in his first World Series of Poker, where he established himself as a young force in the poker world, finishing 198th in the 2006 Main Event.

One of the most consistent posters and moderators at the TwoPlusTwo forums, as well as hosting one of the most popular blogs in all of poker, Dunst has written articles on dozens of topics both within and outside of poker. With his candor and oversized personality, Dunst quickly developed a loyal following of fans and more than a handful of critics, becoming a lightning rod in the poker community.

In 2016, Dunst added another marquee title to his poker résumé when he won a WSOP gold bracelet in a $1,000 no-limit hold’em event. Dunst defeated a field of 2,452 entries to earn $339,254 in that tournament.

Kahle Burns may be Australia’s best kept secret. He has been collecting tournament cashes across Australia and the world for over a decade and has amassed more than $13 million in live tournament earnings during that stretch. His first major result came in the 2013 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific main event, where he pocketed $211,392 for a fifth-place finish. In the summer of 2016, he won the Sydney Championships for $226,295 and weeks later won the Western Classic Poker Championship in Perth for another $55,674.

It was at that point that Burns started becoming a more familiar face on the high roller circuit and in 2020 was second on the all-time money list. His most recent notable wins include a first-place finish in the75k NLH Triton Super High Roller Series in Cyprus, a second-place finish in the 50k NLH European Poker Tour in Barcelona, and another second-place finish in the 25k NLH WSOP Super High Roller Championship ONLINE.

Burns has been a dominant cash game player, steadily moving up the stakes ever since he entered the poker world after high school. Dylan Weisman is a professional poker player and executive performance coach. He has been playing poker professionally in some capacity since he was 16.
