In this episode of Dance-GEMS: can we look at dance without any judgment, and if so, is that a good or a bad thing? Can art and, in this case, dance be judged? Judgment often happens using absolute words like good, bad, beautiful, and ugly. In competitive dance forms, we have professional judges, but in theater forms of dance, the audience is often a judge, or a professional critic is ‘judging’ a performance. The question is based upon what they and what we judge, and is that good or bad? … to use some absolutes ourselves.
