    Jessie trained at The Rock School West and later the Rock School in Philadelphia. She has attended summer intensives at Nashville Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and BalletX. Jessie has danced with companies in the Philadelphia and New York areas including: BalletFleming, Ballet 180, Dance del Bello, Ballet des Ameriques, Benjamin Briones Ballet, and Axons Dance Theater. Jessie holds a BA in Writing for the Media and Journalism from UMass Amherst. While dancing, she wrote grants and press materials for companies she performed with. She was a content contributor for The Whole Dancer for two years. She now works in arts development, working with American Ballet Theatre, The Rock School, and New York Live Arts.

    Dr. Edery-Altas (interviewed and featured in blog by Jessie Frazier) received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a doctorate in physical therapy from Columbia University. She is a former professional ballet dancer, who danced as a member of both the Pennsylvania Ballet and the Boston Ballet.
