Season One begins with a found object—an audio fragment the “vicious dog” couldn’t swallow. From there, Episode 1 becomes a controlled derailment: a walk that turns into a confession, that turns into national identity performance art, climate dread, queer history, tarot, AIDS memories, psychic readings, automatic writing, and the impossibility of endings.
This debut episode establishes the series contract: a narrator who can’t help telling you too much, an audience who didn’t expect to follow this far, and a world where humour, trauma, politics, and memory slip-stream into one another.
Episode 1 is the door. Episode 2 is what happens when you realize the house attached to it is much larger—and much stranger—than you thought.
