Daniel K's Let's Plays

Ihatovo Monogatari 03 (Season -6 episode -8)

No time for episode descriprion or friendly banter readers. I must go to sleep now

music in ep was Up Out My Face (feat. Peaches) by Cakes Da Muthafucking Killa

Ihatovo Monogatari 02 (Season -6 episode -7)

Episode 2 of Ihatovo Monogatari AKA Ihatovo Story AKA Stories of Ihatovo.

In this episode we wander around a peaceful Japanese town and have nice conversations with some peaceful people, then we look for a fungus and there's a frog involved. Anyway yeah it's real fucking peaceful and I'm super into it.

More soon listeners. Yes.

The music in this episode was that one track from the 1982 Gauche the Cellist soundtrack and Six Ways to Sunday by The Drones.

Ihatovo Monogatari 01, the Kenji Miyazawa game! (Season -6 episode -6).

Oh my gosh listeners what a special game! Listen to the ep to find out why, and then come back to this episode description and look at these cool links I'm about to give you:

Find the english language patch of this game here: https://www.romhacking.net/translations/4116/

And follow its translator here: https://twitter.com/RetroTranslator

And read about Kenji Miyazawa here: https://archive.org/details/SelectionsPoetsForTheMillenniumMiyazawaKenji

The music in the episode is taken from the soundtrack of the 1982 anime Gauche the Cellist, which is based on a Miyazawa story, but I don't know anything about the individual piece of music itself, sorry.

Great Greed 09. (Season -6 episode -5).

Weird one listeners! It's a weird one. The Kid makes an appearance at the start of this one. I hope you don't find it too... noisy? messy? indulgent? It's been really hard for me to find time to record, so I thought I'd see what it's like to record while I also do childcare. Turns out, no. No it's no good.

The rest of the episode also gets kinda weird in places.

Music credits:

Neutral Milk Hotel - Ruby Bulbs (from a live recording, 4/12/1998, Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco)

Neutral Milk Hotel - Ruby Bulbs (from a live recording, 4/4/1998, Electric Lounge. Austin TX)

If you think it was excessive and indulgent of me to include TWO versions of an unpublished neutral milk hotel song in my podcast please feel grateful you only got two.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! 07: Winter Wonderland 02. (Season -03 episode -07).

Listeners it's truly a Christmas miracle! I managed to find enough spare time in my life to cobble together a patchy new episode of season negative three, the Christmas Season.

In this special episode I continue playing Winter Wonderland, a 1999 text adventure written by Laura Knauth.

Oh hey if anyone is confused by the opening and closing bits in this ep, head on over to https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/blurry-christmas-extreme-dinosaurs-with-daniel-k/id972413074?i=1000426367580&mt=2 and listen to the guest-spot I did on the amazingly good podcast It's A Duck Blur. You'll still be confused afterwards, but you will've listened to a Good podcast as well as this weird confusing one.

Music in this episode is First Noel by Julian Koster and the track 79s_83w by ambient artist Sleepresearch Facility which I used as background noise for the whole ep.

Great Greed 08. (Season -6 episode -4).

Feeling Greedy listeners? For.. for my content?

Okay cool. here's an episode of Great Greed.

...

ASMR text adventure, Wumpus 2000. (Season-06 episode -03).

Here's some more of the """ASMR""" text adventure, my dear close friends.

I used a different mic for this one. Please tell me if it's shitter.

Music in this ep was Some Limited and Waning Memory by Christina Vantzou.

Great Greed 07. (Season -6 episode -2).

Great Greed! I'm back, baby! for how long? Who knows. It's the goddamn australian summertime right now, so my pool-cleaning work is about to get super busy, so who knows how many episodes I'll be able to pump out for you all...

Anyway hey this is a great greed ep. Not much else to say about it really. I think it's pretty good? I certainly had fun recording it. I was in good spirits, I mean. Yeah. So..

Umm

okay good bye.

Daniel K's Let's Regrets: An ASMR text adventure, Wumpus 2000. (Season-06 episode -01).

Hi listeners. This is a weird episode.

I'm exploring the idea of an ASMR let's play. I don't know how happy I am with what this turned out to be.

The game I play is "Wumpus 2000", a 2004 text adventure written by by Muffy St. Bernard, who I think is a Canadian drag queen.

Music in this ep was Some Limited and Waning Memory by Christina Vantzou, and Six ways to Sunday by The Drones.
