Daniel K's Let's Plays

Alrighty listeners! In this episode I play a text adventure called Distress. You can download and play it here http://www.sidneymerk.com/distress.shtml and I recommend you do.

The fellow who made this game also has a podcast! A daddy-daughter video-game discussion podcast. Check it out here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/videogame-generations/id898657781

I also recommended some books in this episode: Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky and the audiobook of Solaris by Stanisław Lem. Also I remembered that in the last episode I recommended Ship of Fools by Richard Paul Russo, but forgot to stick it in the description. Check 'em all out. Check everything out. Every last thing. Check check check check.

Bye everyone!

Pokemon Blue Nuzlocke 20: POKEMON TOWER. (Season -02 episode -53).

Alrighty listeners! In this episode I blah blah blah blah Pokemon tower! Yaaay.

There was no official Daniel K recommends segment, but I think it's pretty obvious I recommend Failure to Launch http://theconsumption.net/podcasts/failure-to-launch/

The music which appeared as brief snippets was Truth Tella by Cakes Da Killa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6OI-YJedao and Achoo! By Keith Ape & Ski Mask The Slump God https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oMQrrPr5OY

Love you all. See you soon hopefully!

Starcross. (Season -02 episode -52).

In this episode I attempt to play the 1982 Infocom text adventure Starcross......

While editing this episode I was watching Backstroke of the West. You should too! Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XziLNeFm1ok

The music in this episode is Big Mess by Devo, The Musical Offering by Bach, and Six Ways to Sunday by The Drones.

The sequel to the Ovaltine episode, which was the little baby sequel to Daniel K's Let's Cooks episode, which was a good one.

the music in this episode was all Bach's Musical Offering.

Ps: This is NOT the emergency episode I mentioned on twitter. Don't worry, that little disaster is still safely in the chamber.

Pokemon Blue Nuzlocke 19: SAFFRON CITY & FIGHTING GYM. (Season -02 episode -51).

What's this? Another pokemon episode so soon? And this one's under an hour long? How unorthodox!

Have no fear listeners! I think it's a good one this time. I certainly had fun playing anyway.

The only music in this episode is the theme from the movie 'Who Am I?' sung by Jackie Chan himself.

In this episode I receive a parcel from https://twitter.com/JohnnyFeyev

Pokemon Blue Nuzlocke Challenge 18. (Season -02 episode -50).

In this episode we fully explore the dungeon of the infamous Rocket Gang. For an hour! Sorry for the length being on the lengthy side again listeners, but I figured it's better to have a dungeon or area confined to a single episode, if you see what I mean.

In this chatty ep I recommended two things:

[1] Ólöf Arnalds' 2010 album Innundir Skinni https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rk8E-Sn-Rk

And [2] the pokemon rom hack Mirage Of Tales: A New Age Dawns http://pokemonromhack.com/mirage-of-tales-a-new-age-dawns.html

The music which appeared as snippets in this episode was: Workin by Waka Flocka Flame, Surrender and Vinur Minn by Ólöf Arnalds, Artillery by Infected Mushroom, Whip It by Devo and finally I Yi Yi Yi Yi (I Like You Very Much) by Carmen Miranda. I don't think I've forgotten anything...

Anyway.

Thank you for listening.

Islan Dash. (Season -02 episode -49).

Listeners in this episode I play a game called Island Dash and have a lot of fun!

You can play Island Dash too; it's free! You can play it here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/676770/Island_Dash/

Special special thanks to Emperor Konstantine the drowzee for recommending this game to me.

Gran Turismo Four 02.5 (Season -02 episode -48).

It's a quick little mini-episode for you listeners. Hope you like it.

Here's the Gran Turismo 4 car list: http://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Gran_Turismo_4/Car_List

If you see a car on there which has special significance to you, like if it's your car or something, let me know on https://twitter.com/Daniel_G_K and I'll maybe make it my goal to get that car in a few episodes time.

ZORK One 07. (Season -02 episode -47).

In this episode I drink a beer and discover a dam and a savior.

I feel like the last half of this one is a little better than the first half, so if you get half way through and you think 'aww jeeze this one's a real stinker', hey wait it out a little, maybe it'll get better.

Also I'd like to introduce a very special listener competition: There's an edit point hidden somewhere in this episode; half way through recording I paused to eat dinner and finish my big strong beer.

Can you spot the point where I suddenly become much much drunker in just a fraction of a second?

The winner will win a sticker, if I ever make stickers.
