If you were to tell me that one day I’d be a co-host of a podcast, I probably would’ve started with, “What’s a podcast?”. After my fair share of trying to figure out what I’m called to do with this life, I’m still trying to figure it out. However, I’ve luckily found out that I am meant to serve and help others throughout my everyday life, so at least I have a starting point. I’m currently a Rehabilitative Therapist, co-founder of a digital agency called Dog Developer, and a co-host on The Rundown. I have a lot more growing, learning, and serving to do, but with this podcast we hope to provide value to help inform, encourage, and inspire different ways of thinking. Life is not always perfect, but it’s always what you make it. So make it count, make it memorable, and never let anyone steal your happiness.

I grew up playing a sport in every season, Football, Baseball, Track and excelled in swimming. After retiring from sports I stayed active for a while but, when life became about working and supporting a family fitness took a back seat and I became morbidly obese tipping the scales at over 500 lbs.
After hitting a breaking point when my health became an issue, when I had a myopic flip (Meaning I woke up one day and my eyes weren't working right) It was this that helped me discover that I had become a type 2 diabetic. It was at this point I was looking for answers to get my health back and wasn't even sure it was possible. I ended up reaching out to my next door neighbor and unbeknownst to me, he was a CrossFit Coach. Together we worked to help me lose around 250lbs.
I also earned my CrossFit L1 so I could begin coaching and helping people like I was helped and this also allowed me to be a judge and different events in the CrossFit space. I have volunteered as Security, Media Credentialing and
athlete control in the past and this was a way to ramp up my involvement.
This is still a constant battle for me, I suffered a back injury (not from CrossFit) and developed a leg condition where my veins where not pumping the blood back up my legs. This created depression and anxiety that sent me down the bad habit spiral I was on before eventually hitting 414 lbs before trying even more new tools to combat this.
I was featured in a CrossFit Documentary Called "Wind of Change" that is available on YouTube, and since this aired I have sought counselling, speak with a Psychiatrist and hired a nutrition coach. This has all helped me turn things around and I have lost 26 lbs since hiring the nutrition coach
I also host a successful podcast myself called the Clydesdale, Fitness & Friends that looks at the sport of fitness, interviewing CrossFit Athletes and talking about our own struggles with fitness and nutrition. We have listeners in 60 countries around the world and all 50 US States.

My friend Ted is the catalyst for a good time. He is a generous, selfless person and the type of guy you want to be around. I have wondered why Ted loves making sure other people have a great time. In this episode he explains how the traumatic experience of having cancer not once, but twice before the age of 12 has shaped his outlook on life. We explore his diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins lymphoma at age 8, the response from his family and community, and how that response shaped his altruistic view of the world.
