Noblesville is a city in and the county seat of Hamilton County, Indiana, a part of the north Indianapolis suburbs along the White River.
Being. founded in the 1800’s, and many of its hand laid brick streets and sidewalks are still around today. Historic buildings have been maintained, and even the new infrastructure does a great job of blending in with the old. Streetlamps adorn the streets, and signage prompts visitors to patronize local small businesses. You feel small town charm, but don’t sacrifice modern amenities for it.
The Noblesville downtown area is alive and thriving with unique shops and restaurants. Despite its local charm, there are plenty of chain establishments here as well. If you need a Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Target, or any other nationwide store, you can find those in Noblesville too.
It has a population of around 65,000 people 89% white, 4.7% black, 3% two or more, 2% asian
The median household income is $82,218
Noblesville attracted national media attention in 1965 when Noblesville Daily Ledger editor James T. Neal was charged with contempt by Hamilton County Circuit Court judge Ed New. Neal's fight for the First Amendment went before the Indiana Supreme Court.[12] In May 2018, it drew national attention again as the Noblesville West Middle School was the site of a school shooting with a teacher and student injured.
The old Hamilton County Sheriff's Residence and Jail on the courthouse square in downtown Noblesville is now the home of the Hamilton County Museum of History. As a working jail, it once housed Charles Manson as a teenager and D. C. Stephenson, former Grand Dragon of the Indiana Ku Klux Klan. The Stephenson trial, which took place in the adjoining Hamilton County courthouse in 1925, broke the power of the Klan in Indiana.
Outside of those events, it’s a quiet place. Or so thought a resident as Indianapolis’s “Laid Back Suburb.”
Until, he went out for a walk one day.
What followed after that has grown into a Facebook page with over 100k views, thousands of followers, and a community that depends on The Noblesville Scanner for no nonsense, fact based reporting about the happenings in the community.
This gentlemen happens to be a very good friend of mine and he has allowed me to share his story today. Here is how one of the most genuine, thoughtful, caring, and dependable people I know is leading the charge in crafting a better community where he lives.
How does one build something from nothing? One brick at a time. This is the approach Taylor Morrison took. He comes from very humble beginnings in Indiana. Once a fry oil truck driver, and stereo installer at Best Buy, he now owns 24 rental properties and his own electronic installation business called Innovative Electronics and Sound. In this episode we discuss the value of networking, finding good mentors, surrounding yourself with people who inspire you to be better, putting yourself out there to try new things, and creating multiple streams of income. We also talk about the power of persistence and how having a clear mission, like family, can be a huge motivation.
DT returns for his second episode of Danley and Friends. We discuss the long term benefits of persistence, and being "eerily patient." We discuss re-visiting past events and traumas through new perspectives as we get older, and how therapy can aid in the process of working through those events. Sometimes it helps to say what's on your mind. It makes things "less cloudy and more sunshine." We talk about what's been on DT's mind, and how he's working through his mental blocks on his path to growth.

WE TALKIN BOUT TAXES!? In this episode, a part 2, I continue exploring the idea of money through the lens of taxes. Where did they come from? How did they start in the United States? As I became more passionate about personal finance, I began learning that the rules that apply to Jeff Bezos apply to all of us. Why is it that people hate him for playing by the same rules available to them? Why do people choose to get mad at billionaires instead of their governments? This and many more questions as we explore income taxes, estate taxes, and more.

We are on the road! Kelsey and I are on a 42 hour road trip to Colorado for the wedding of her childhood best friend Courtney and our friend Jeremy. The wedding was at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge and it was beautiful. The Baldis went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We still ran into some difficulties along the way with things like parking and getting into restaurants. We talk about how it felt being the spectacle outside of a pizza restaurant with friends, the extra considerations we have traveling including some of our favorite travel tips, and we discuss the beauty of having great friends like the Baldis and the Houstons who we are also visiting in Parker, Colorado. Enjoy!
PART 2: There is a lot going on in the world, and to understand it we have to step outside of our echo chambers. In this episode, that is exactly what I do. I wanted to hear different perspectives on what's going on in the world from my friends Corey and TJ. We don't always agree, but coming to the table is key in the search for truth and Co-existence. My name is Rob Lawless.
I’m 29 years old, I’m originally from Norristown, PA and I enjoy meeting new people.
Back in May of 2013, I graduated summa cum laude from Penn State University with a degree in Finance and minors in Accounting & Entrepreneurship. After graduation, I began my career with Deloitte Consulting as a Business Analyst in Strategy & Operations. It was my reach job at the time, but about 1.5 years into it, I pulled a Millennial move – I took a large pay cut and left the Powerpoint decks and spreadsheets for the laid back, $24 million venture-funded RJMetrics.
While at RJ, I worked as a sales rep where I cold emailed people every day asking them to hop on the phone for 30 mins to chat about our product. And my job being sales, I often received responses like these actual replies (s/o to all my reps still in the game):
So along with a bunch of factors that I mention in my first blog post, I started this project to see if I could meet with people to chat for an hour for absolutely no reason and held my first meeting on November 11, 2015. I was rejected way less, the responses were all positive and encouraging, and I’ve met amazing people with incredible backgrounds who would all consider themselves normal.
On Monday, June 20, 2016, RJMetrics was acquired by a larger company, which didn’t require my position, so I dove in full-time on my endeavor to meet 10,000 different people for an hour each.
Since then, I’ve met over 3,500 people from over 60 countries and 35 US States. I’ve driven across the country six times and also been featured by some awesome press sources, including Ryan Seacrest on his nationally syndicated radio show, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” as well as “Your Morning,” a national Canadian morning show and the TODAY Show with Hoda and Jenna! I also got the chance to appear as a guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show alongside Jane Lynch and Jo Koy where the audience was made up of ~100 friends from the project – an awesome experience!
I love adventure and I love potential – over the last 4.5 years, I’ve found this project to have both so I’ve been greatly satisfied with how it’s gone so far and can’t wait to continue giving it 110% to see where it takes me in the future!
Last thought, I’ve had a great experience meeting new people – if you feel so inclined, give it a try and let me know how it goes for you :)
