Bill Bartholomew welcomes Dara Benno, an artist and Providence-based designer focused on addressing critical challenges, including environmental issues; she is also a Strategic Design + Research Fellow at RISD. Her design practice is centered around social impact and climate action. Her work focuses on how creative practice can influence change and how as a society, we can exercise imagination to work toward creating a better future. She moved from attending her local farmers market weekly to joining this program at URI and even planned a zero waste trivia night for the program. She says this experience was a kickstarter for her.
