Dare 2 Hear - The Podcast

David Slikers new book, "The Triumph of Beauty" is a powerful invitation for us, the Church, to realize her full potential in the grae of God. But not just that, we are to be captivated by the beauty of God. The Church is to be a force to be reckoned with in opposition to the wicked powers of this world. The Church has a destiny that involves a glorious witness to the world regarding who Jesus really is and what He is really like."

In Triumph of Beauty, readers will discover how to become part of a Church that counters

anger with kindness and mercy, loves its enemies, overcomes bitterness and offense, and

lays hold of the Lord's beauty via revelation and transformation. When we—as a united

Body and as individual members—do these things, we will love as He loves. We will endure without despair as we boldly and lovingly stand for His truth.

In Luke 19: 11-27 Jesus is telling the parables of the 10 minas and a noble man. In verse 19 Jesus spoke the phrase: "Occupy until I come." What exactly was His purpose for sharing this parable? The minas represent the gifts, talents and abilities He has given us. They are our "Sphere of Influence" or rather the metron and measure God has given us to possess to position ourselves to occupy until He comes. I share on this and then I also am included a great conversation Amie Rogers and I had a great conversation on her show In the Round.

Throughout the book, Maureen shares beautifully about the HOPE Jesus is and the promises He has given to each one of us. We can posture ourselves to engage with life victoriously. Jennifer Wedan is a prophetic scribe for the Lord and one of the most humble people I know. We dive into a few of her prophetic words and poetry from the Lord. We discuss her process of hearing from God and receiving what He wants her to share.

Jennifer beautifully shares the Father's heart with others so they can see themselves the way the Lord sees them. She is called to prepare the Bride for Christ's return through repentance and abiding in His deep love. You will be transformed by the love of the bridegroom when you read Jennifer's poetic poems and prophetic words on her blog, Treasures from the Father's Heart: Love Letters from the Father.

Jennifer has also been published in, "Doxology: A Collective of Poems, Psalms, and Songs."

What is a Metron and why should we be concerned about it? It's really your sphere of influence and the purpose to which God has called you to do. Amie Rogers joins me as we discuss one of the hot topic teachings I brought to my Remnant Prophetic Community. 2 Corinthians 10:13 "But we will not boast of things without our measure (Metron), but according to the measure (metron)(3358) of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure (metron) to reach even unto you." (KJV)

Metron is a Greek word meaning: (3358) metron (met'-ron); an apparently primary word; a measure ("metre"), literally or figuratively; by implication a limited portion (degree)

Eddie Huff was born to a single German mother and a black American (GI) father, in post World War 2 Germany. He grew up between 2 worlds, at first in a small German village speaking only German. From this world, at the age of 7, he was transplanted to a completely different world, that of the projects of Philadelphia. Growing up as a Black American child in the 60s Eddie would move back and forthfrom predominantly black environments to very integrated ones. He has, however, always considered himself Black and counts it as a supreme privilege to share in that rich history.

In HIs book, "Y'all Have Sinned: How Blaming Others Is Not A Winning Strategy," Eddie tackles some current event hot-button topics such as racism and reparations just to name a few. Eddie says, "it is the lack of forgiveness for those past sins which holds the descendants of African slaves in bondage today." He encourages us to face the truth about our own sins and forgiveness is the key to true freedom and prosperity for all of mankind, and especially those in America, black, white, brown and anyone else.
