We’re so excited to introduce you to Matthew Wengerd from A Fine Press today. He shares so many awesome nuggets of information and inspiration today on how to find your own unique style, your creative process, and really live into that in your business.
We also chat about what it really means to charge what you’re worth as a creative (we know it can be challenging!). So get ready to be inspired!
Matthew's announcement for Dare To Develop Listeners: I have really focused this year is helping people in the wedding space build a stronger brand voice. Today we're welcoming Keanna, the founder of Honey + Vinyl, a luxury wedding band and musical experience that focuses on every aspect of the event and really caters to what the sound should be for pivotal moments on a wedding day.
We love Keanna’s take on perfection, or rather, embracing the imperfections. As creatives, we strive for perfection, but that is just not possible 100% of the time. Keanna talks about giving ourselves and our teams a little bit of grace and leaning into the lessons that come from the imperfect.
Keanna's announcement for D2D Listeners:
We have just a few books left, and I have a special pricing on there. When we replenish our inventory, it'll go up to $19.99. But right now we have a special price of $13.66. So go to honeychildbooks.com. And get a book for your loved ones.

Today on Dare to Develop we’re welcoming our friend Mel of Melissa Goodland Photography. We love the passion that Mel brings to her favorite photography niche, which is senior photography. Not only does she capture amazing photos for her seniors, but she helps them build their community through her spokesmodel program. No matter what your creative endeavor is, Mel has got some great tips that you can use right away!
Mel's offer for D2D listeners: If you book your senior sessions before the summer (they don't have to have them taken before summer). But if they book for, the next coming year, I'm giving away a mother-daughter mini photoshoot with their senior portrait session.

Today we’re joined by Shean Strong of Shean Strong Floral and Event Design. We absolutely love Shean’s message of knowing what your time is worth and charging for that time. Listen in as we tackle the sticky subject of “friends and family rates” and passing on possible influencer deals for “exposure”. Get your notebooks out friends, you’ll want to take notes for this one! Shean's website: Shean's Instagram:
Shean's announcement for D2D listeners: I get a lot of messages on “how would you price this?” “How would you handle this?” And so I want to be able to address those problems. So in the works right now I’m working an online course and then the first of the year looking to have another workshop. We’ll discuss pricing, business models, how we're dealing with social media. Then we also build a massive installation together and bouquets and centerpieces. So, that's going to be coming up, but all that information can be found on my Instagram and on my website.
