In this video I discuss the primary reasons behind this crisis, including burnout, workplace culture, and ineffective leadership.

But I don't want to just focus on the problems; I want to be part of the solution. That's why I'm passionate about sharing actionable steps we can take to support both new and experienced nurses. We need to prioritize our well-being, foster a positive work environment, and invest in the development of our nursing leaders.

As nurses, we have the power to create change and shape the future of our profession. I truly believe that if we come together and tackle these challenges head-on, we can ensure that nursing continues to thrive for generations to come.

Kelly has worked in a variety of settings including home care, clinic, hospital & ambulatory surgery. She is a past member of the Minnesota Nurses Governmental Affairs Committee and currently serves as representative on the Minnesota Nurses Pension Committee. Kelly is also a disability activist and is currently serving on the Waiver Reimagine Advisory Committee for the State of Minnesota. She is passionate about Autism because of the years of advocating for her son to get his needs met. Friesen Holistic Services LLC was created to fill the unmet needs in her Community for Individuals with Autism. Young adults who live with Autism now have the benefit of Nurse Advocate services to promote Life Skills, growth and independence.
