  • Dr. Katharine Grossman. Network Chiropractor, Nervous System + the Gift of Silence

In this episode of Dare to Listen, I sit down with my dear friend and trusted health professional, Dr. Katharine Grossman, a network chiropractor based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Network spinal care is a gentle, no-"cracking" form of chiropractic that helps the body and nervous system unwind through light contacts, like tuning a stringed instrument.

Dr. Katharine shares the knowing she had at just a year and a half old that she'd become a chiropractor, how network care supported her own healing after years of Lyme disease, and why she offers sessions both one-on-one and in group "entrainments." We explore co-regulation, how posture mirrors the nervous system, aging with grace, and her answer to a question I've been sitting with: can living in fight, flight, or freeze for years affect the spine?

We spend time exploring her Human Design. Her 6th profile, her experience moving to the 6th line "roof," her split definition, her HD channels: 32/54, 50/27 and 7/13. How her chart carries wanderer'ing  energy.

  • Jeremy Holms Forest Wandering, Owls, Activism + his Human Design (part 2 of 2)

On this Dare to Listen episode 2-parter, Jeremy Holmes and I pick up looking at the deeper layers of Jeremy's HD chart — his incarnation cross (the Cross of Eden), the gate of crisis and what it means to carry the skill of knowing which conflicts are worth stepping into.

From there, the conversation turns toward community: clarifying friendships dynamics, the campfire gathering idea that formed on it's own a year and a half later — and what changed for him once he stopped trying to make things happen and started trusting timing.

We talk through his Power of the Great channel, what it means to have an undefined solar plexus and carry an empath's sensitivity to the people around him, and how nature became the place where that sensitivity could rest and recharge. Jeremy also shares how studying anatomy and physiology in nursing school has, unexpectedly, made the mystical feel more real to him rather than less — seeing the same interconnectedness on a cellular level that shows up in a Human Design chart.

This one closes with reflections on self-love, on the version of himself he's grown into over the past several years, and on what it means to keep following your own thread even when you can't always see where it leads.

  • Jeremy Holms Forest Wandering, Owls, Activism + his Human Design (part 1 of 2)

On this Dare to Listen episode 2-parter, Jeremy Holmes joins me again six years after his first appearance on this show. So much has shifted since then: he's left a longterm tech career to go back to school for nursing, found his way into local community organizing, and kept following the same curiosity that's always pulled him into the woods, discovering natures wonders (mushrooms, owls...), into where his Manifesting Generator, 3/6 (rare) profile, Incarnation Cross of Eden life takes him next.

We open with a brief audio snippet from his original 2020 episode before catching up on where life has taken him, then move into his Human Design chart: what it means to be a Manifesting Generator, his third and sixth line profile, and how his own history — from a WTO protest at age sixteen to the work he's doing in his neighborhood today — traces a throughline that's been there all along.

This one includes an Owl medicine reading from Brynja Magnussen's book, prompted by the owl encounters Jeremy shares in the episode.

Part 2 continues with his incarnation cross, the emotional weight of his current activism work, and a deeper look at what it means to have an undefined solar plexus and 6 total undefined energy centers.

  • Deena Preston HD deep dive with Splenic Projector Homeschooling 6/2 Profile mom

On this Dare to Listen episode Deena Preston we go deep into Human Design — we dive into Deena's chart: her 6/2 profile journey, the Channel of Struggle (38-28), her splenic authority, gate 27 as her personality Sun.

Regardless how steeped you are in HD, you're so welcome here!

Deena is a homeschool mom who found Human Design in 2021 and has been studying and living with the 'this/that dynamic is not personal' reality HD can offer.

We talk about Deena's potent Saturn Return car accident experience, which was a great teacher — what it's like to move through the phases of a 6th line (HD profile) life, and how a childhood movie mapped out for her what it means to walk the path of a 6/2.

  • Dare to Listen: Leah — Tarot, Human Design & Seed in Bloom (+ the "Mystical Riff" show Origin Story)

On this Dare to Listen episode, I'm sitting down with my dear friend Leah — some of you already know her from Mystical Riff by the River monthly Tarot/HD/Oracle by HD Profile Line readings. This conversation happened before that show existed, before it even had a name.

This convo explores Leah's Human Design chart as a Projector, her many year tarot practice and the ritual worksheet she uses to track her Tarot pulls (including a live Tarot card pull), and her work as a therapist and facilitator with Seed in Bloom, a program bringing horticultural, kindness and art inside the New Mexico penitentiary. Near the end, you'll hear the exact unplanned moment the idea for "Mystical Riff by the River with Leah and Nameh" was born — plus a few snippets from July or Aug 2026 readings.

Heads up: some tech meant Leah was off-camera..

  • Dare to Listen: Chrissy McFarren's Human Design + Community Care with Healthy Boundaries (Part 2)

Joining this 2-parter episode is Chrissy McFarren. She is a first-generation rancher, land steward, and shadow work facilitator at Badger Creek Ranch (Insta @badgercreekranch) — a working ranch, retreat center, and education space among the mountains of south-central Colorado.

Part 2 continues by diving into Chrissy's Human Design chart. The conversation illuminates, via HD, where Chrissy's potent 20/34 power, tribal (community) 40/37 + 59/6 circuitry, creative artist self (Gate 1), consistent emotional chemistry, and defined Will center bring reminders for healthy — and possibly renegotiated — boundaries, and time for expansive rest.

In Part 1 (https://youtu.be/OeT-0o-M0Q0) of this two-part conversation, Chrissy shares how a lifelong love of animals led her to equine-assisted healing and founding Shadow Work Through the Way of the Horse in 2010.

We talk about what it means to raise animals with love and sacred reverence, what is shadow work, how horses — as prey animals are wired to read energy — can be such subtlety gorgeous healers. Some of what we discuss includes a few horse stories (ex: a ten-year-old boy + a horse) and how the land itself is a living participant in the healing that happens at Badger Creek Ranch.

  • Melody Jane Savannah on Inner Sovereignty, Asking Big + her book "Angel Prayers"

Joining this episode is Melody Jane Savannah — mentor, teacher, guide, and author of Angel Prayers — whose life's work centers on one's freedom, sovereignty, and lovingly reminding people who they already are.

The convo starts with her Human Design chart, uncovering how freedom and a vibrancy for aliveness sit at the core of Melody Jane's energy. How her openness — those beautiful, undefined centers, screen-door quality — have shaped a life of trusting the unknown over needing certainty. The convo also explores Neptune energy, the nuanced differences between the English and American language, plus how conditioning shapes what we believe we're allowed to ask for.

The conversation moves into Melody Jane's origin story for her book "Angel Prayers" — what it means to reclaim the word "prayer" — and how giving ourselves permission to ask BIG can loosen the grip of playing small. Melody Jane shares her lived moments of connection with the angelic realm, along with simple practices anyone can try.

Each Dare to Listen episode includes "Why this Movie Changed Me" movie explorations — with a movie memory and how the gift of the smallest moments can quietly contribute to who we're becoming.

  • Dare to Listen podcast 2026 Re-launch — why I paused, what changed, and what's coming

Dare to Listen (the podcast) is back!

After a sacred pause that began in 2021, I'm relaunching this podcast with new depth, new conversations, and a new layer — Human Design (HD). This go around I expect to offer both audio only (here) and videos - so you can see our faces and visuals to help explain concepts.

Previous conversations explored family constellations, death doula work, sobriety, past lives, ways of connecting with mystical + ancestral spaces, inner child work and more.

In this intro episode, I share the story behind the sacred pause, my Uranus Opposition (an astrological cycle that rearranged everything), the inner call that led me from Chicago to Santa Fe, and why these conversations matter now more than ever. I also talk about experiential learning — why hearing someone else's lived experience can crack something open that no book or lecture quite reaches.

Whether you're steeped in Human Design or brand new here — you're welcome. These conversations are an invitation to listen to what you notice, what stirs, and what you feel drawn to explore.

    • Wanna see the convo on video -- head over to YouTube

    • Watch this space — original Dare to Listen episodes are coming back too! • Not every conversation will be HD-focused. The episode title will give you a sense of how deep into Human Design each episode goes.

    So glad you're here. 💕
