Alexha was born a healthy little baby; sadly, on March of 2010 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was only 5 at the time, and her parents were devastated to know about their little girl's illness. She underwent treatment in Honduras, but it has not been an easy road for little Alexha. Unfortunately, she suffered a relapse on September 2011, subsequently undergoing treatment once again and was in remission for a few months. In October 3, 2012 she had a second relapse. At this time her doctors recommendations were for her parents to bring Alexha to the U.S. in order to receive the proper medical treatment that could hopefully save her life.
Alexha is a brave and strong little girl. She is conscious about her condition and is fighting a hard battle. Nevertheless, she continues to have a positive attitude and never loses the smile on her face. Her dream is to become a doctor, and a teacher. Her parents are trying to do everything they can to help save their little girl; and the only way they can do this is with YOUR help. Alexha is in need of a bone marrow transplant. IKF's Wonderfund is helping the family in their fundraising efforts and have opened an account in Alexha's name.
Please open your heart and help this young girl by making your donation today. Alexha and her family will be eternally grateful for your kindness.
