Dark Corners

Maria Bay is hardly recognizable, at least as Harold O’Bannon presents it to Daniel in Chapter 12 of Witch-Works. Daniel questions his sanity and faces the ultimate decision.

Witch-Works, written and narrated by David Allen Voyles, is based upon the music compilation also called Witch-Works created by dark ambient musician Mombi Yuleman. This album and other works by the artist can be found, streamed, and purchased at mombiyuleman.bandcamp.com. This story and David Allen Voyles's other written works are available on Amazon.

In Episode 11, Daniel and Laura try to enjoy a Halloween fall festival that has unintended frights and end up with a terrifying experience that is indeed "No Ordinary Hayride."

Daniel’s eroding status in Maria Bay becomes evident in Episode 10, and he and Laura make a nightmarish visit to the O’Bannon mansion.

In Episode 9 of Witch-Works, we find that the unresolved deaths in Maria Bay have not set well with Sheriff Kovitz. After an unpleasant interrogation of Daniel Thompson, he has an interesting walk “Through the Pumpkin Swamp.”

In Episode 8 of Witch-Works, one of Harold O'Bannon's old employees finds that it's not wise to betray the previous owner of the old toy factory, even though O'Bannon's been dead for decades.

Episode 7 of Witch-Works reveals a big secret from Daniel's family history, and Daniel's sister Deidre has a terrifying visit from one of the denizens of the Black Cat Toy Factory.

In Episode 6 Dance of the Scarecrows, we leave our main characters Daniel and Laura temporarily as two thrill-seeking teens visit the ruins of the toy factory where both familiar and new horrors are unleashed.

Episode 5 of Witch-Works finds Daniel doubting whether he might be subconsciously causing some of the frightening and physically harmful events he has been experiencing. When Laura, a trained psychologist, offers to help, all hell breaks loose.

In the fourth episode of the Witch-Works, Daniel and Laura visit the toy factory again to follow up on the supernatural events that occurred on their first visit and make a terrifying discovery.
