  • Ep.5 Putting Your Voice Into the World, Lesbian Werewolves, Drugs and Erotica w/Allison Moon
Have you considered self-publishing? How about writing erotica? What is it like to write and work in a large house used to shoot porn? Allison Moon joins the show to share her experiences publishing 4 books and being a sex-educator. We also talk about why she is so good at teaching men (and women) about driving a woman's vulva and how she took that metaphor and wrote Girl Sex 101, her latest project, coming out this spring. Lots of great tips, suggestions and laughs in this episode.

  • Ep.1 The Human Spirit, Inspiring Songs and Nonsensical Writing with Steve Chandler
Steve inspired the name "Darken The Page" with advice he gave me several years ago. He said that instead of trying to write a masterpiece, just have my goal be "darkening the page", and years later that advice has been brilliant in helping me be more creative and enjoy the writing process more. Listen as Steve and I talk about how music inspires him, writing that feels natural and a love of the human spirit.

  • What Darken the Page is About and What You Can Expect [5 min]
I’m a writer, and this show is my therapy. I’ve struggled with every part of the writing process. I have half-finished books that stress me out, I have moments of inspiration followed by weeks of a creative void, I have a vision of my ideal life where everything happens like clock work and I write every day first thing in the morning, and I have the reality of me procrastinating, sleeping in, spending too much time on the internet and generally being a lot less disciplined than I want to be.

These interviews have saved my life, and my creative output has greatly increased, along with me having a far more grounded sense of how I can consistently create art in a way that’s easy and fun... just the way it’s supposed to be. This show is a chance for me to share the conversations that have changed my life with you, in hopes that for you, it does the same.
