Darkfloor In Session

Ukrainian experimental producer .at/on presents a selection of dark and shuddering electronics, marking his return to the studio and in turn introduces his new album.

Bedroom Community’s Ben Frost, Valgeir Sigurðsson, and Heliochrysum feature. With music from Roly Porter, Shackleton, Subtext, Puce Mary, Drew McDowall, Paul Jebanasam, OAKE, and Croatian Amor, together w/ a cut from his album - around the 32 minute mark.

thatboytim returns to our mix series w/ a raw Hardcore Megamix mix of noisy guitars and resonating lyrics. Recorded in support of his new single - 'Vultures'. Featuring DRI, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Poison Idea, Discharge, Heresy, Ripcord, Extreme Noise Terror, Doom, Bleeding Rectum, Jobbykrust, Napalm Death, Sepultura, and Genocide Express.

Amphior follows up his appearance on Mantis Radio 296 (2019) w/ an exclusive session mix of ambient and downtempo tracks. Entitled 'Catharsis' it marks his new album 'Another Presence' that dropped last month on Italian label Glacial Movements. Once again the Danish producer illuminates through sound.

'Another Presence' was recorded during the long and isolated time many of us experienced during lockdowns in 2020. Mathias Hammerstrøm found himself going through as he puts it, a bit of a personal hell. His mix is compiled with this in mind, "attempting to blend together the atmosphere of his album w/ similar inward vibrations, sometimes more angsty, sometimes fading into empty space."

London's Voidloss presents his new sound - a hybrid of techno machinations and halftime drum and bass flexing. Bringing a renewed sense of space to his sub heavy percussion programming.

A darkside ride through outsider electronics and experimental sound by Pittsburgh based DJ, Cutups. Electro meets glitch bass and precision drum percussion w/ tracks from Dead Fader, Blush Response, Errorbeauty, Exploited Body, Bombardier, Aaron Spectre, Xanopticon, Djrum, Somatic Responses, Diasiva, Samurai Music, Pixelord, and plenty more.

Anatomically Correct Influences, an IDM mixtape by Acre Recordings' C Mantle. Exploring the influences of the Scottish producer's new double album Anatomically Correct, our 70th In Session features tracks from Warp Records, Skam, Autechre, Gescom, Pan Sonic, WSR, Expressway Yo Yo Dieting, Scorn, Asura, EOG, Mr 76ix, Brothomstates, Boogie Down Productions, The Wee DJs, 16 o9, Jega, and Current Value.

Trax in the Wax, an EBM and industrial dance mix from thatboytim. Featuring Wax Trax! Records artists and bands aligned with the sound of the legendary Chicago label including Front 242, Revolting Cocks, Front Line Assembly, Nitzer Ebb, Sumerian Fleet, and Greater Than One.

For our 68th In Session mix we present a selection from Belfast's thatboytim. From electro to fuzzy rock Tim Smyth is a talented musician, infusing a raw looseness to his beats, in part formed from his love of psych rock, US hardcore and noise rock. It’s in that spirit he recorded this mix for us – his Dirty Dirge mix.

Dropping dark techno heat for our 67th Darkfloor In Session we present a mix from Belgium’s Derlich. No stranger to Darkfloor, having been a twice featured guest on Mantis Radio – shows 214 and 141 – his 59 minute mix is full of energy and industrial swell.
