In this episode, Louis has picked the 1993 Sci-fi action film Demolition Man. Louis and Kate run through some plot, mixed in with an important discussion about the real issues that plague 2032 San Angeles, like how do the three seashells work, and how Taco Bell conquered all other chain restaurants. This strange, peculiar film is what is known to Louis as an "ITV classic", in that he first saw it on ITV as a youth. He promises it won't be the last time we get one of these picks either!

In this episode, Kate (and to be fair, Louis as well) gets very excited talking about Prequelle, the 4th album from the Swedish rock band. They talk about the incredibly vivid and humorous world that the group have built over time, how at least half the podcast feels like this album is structurally similar to a musical how much the singer looks like a certain British light entertainer and the absolutely glorious live show. Also, saxophones and tricycles and some fab-u-lous choreo! They even talk about the songs and lyrics, like its a real podcast and everything.

In the 9th episode of this podcast experience, Louis has decided to devolve and bring forward his love of the strange, peculiar yet oh so catchy and enjoyable 5th album from new wave legends Devo. There is talk of potatoes, french fries, doughnuts and stupidly catchy music, as well as slightly more serious subject matter when Louis and Kate touch on a formative event in shaping the existence of the group, and the groups concept of de-evolution itself.

The series also occasionally leans into genuine absurdity, as we find out.

Louis takes us through his love of the 1994 action vehicle Speed, one of the biggest hits of its year. Who knew a bomb on a bus could be the catalyst for such a thrill ride? Well, the people who financed the movie certainly did! This episode not only has lots of fun facts about the movie, it also features a dramatic reading of song lyrics and a horrendous Keanu Reeves impression. The management tried to talk Louis out of cutting it, but he held his ground.
