Shinedown frontman Brent Smith and Darryl talk about the bands charitable initiative with Direct Relief and the song "Atlas Falls". They dug in to the vault for this one which is very fitting for 2020. Brent also makes has some great insight in to the state of the world and his surroundings in the U.S these days.

What's the weirdest thing you'd think a recovered, stolen guitar would come back covered in?

If one of Jonny's guitars could talk, we probably wouldn't want the details, but it makes for a funny story in a podcast.

They also discuss their cover of Alice Cooper's "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and play a slide guitar, reverbed living room take of 'The Cure' off their first record that is most certainly served best with a whisky

If there was any band that was set to have 2020 be THEIR year, it's Crown Lands. They spent the last few years opening on some amazing tours, including Protest The Hero, Primus and Jack White. They were getting in front of so many audiences, building that grass roots fan base and doing everything right, before making their major label debut. They had the buzz, the songs, the live show, their first European tour booked and a home coming set for June at the Mod Club in Toronto.

Well, like everything, all that got postponed. It'll all happen, it's just a matter of when? Darryl talks to Kevin and Cody about all of this, plus Star Wars/Spaceballs, Kevin's vintage guitar sickness and how they might have more than just one record ready to go.

Darryl talks to Maya Miller in this episode about The Pack A.D's 8th and final record 'it was fun while it lasted'. Becky & Maya have decided to hang it up after this one and who knows how many trips back and forth across Canada.

Remember a few months ago when Australia was burning? We all watched in horror at what was happening to the animals. Well Leon Harrison of The Lazys (who call Australia home) organized a great show to raise some much needed funds for all the damage that had been done. The show sold out. But, now we could be waiting a while for it to happen. F%$# YOU Covid-19. He's also got some great stuff going during isolation and is just a dude and a half and fun to talk to.

Darryl also talks to Philip Sayce, a Canadian guitar virtuoso who's next album Spirit Rising comes out on April 24th. He talks about cutting his teeth with Jeff Healey's band and his admiration for him along with some other cool stories

Skotti Ruffo owns the Brass Monkey in Ottawa, a live music venue and a great home for Rock n Roll. Like many small businesses, he faces and ton of challenges and uncertainty under the Covid-19 pandemic. They've started a Go Fund Me page to try and keep the venue alive and we also discuss a great community initiative he's assisting that helps seniors get meals. His guests this week are CJAY 92 Morning Host Jesse Modz. Modz talks about the vibe in Calgary during the pandemic, his love of the Tragically Hip and how one radio bit changed his life.

Darryl also caught up with Ottawa's Onionface for a socially distanced interview at the Bands HQ and studio. In addition to talking about their work, Calvin talks about his guitar tech work with Crown Lands and they rip 2 live-off-the-floor songs from the record 'Roll Over, Dog... And Run!'

Before the outbreak of the Corona Virus, Darryl talked to Scot Turner from his home somewhere along the Escarpment in North Burlington.
