In this first episode of Fieldfisher's new Data & Privacy Matters podcast, Lorna Cropper, Chloe Abbott and trainee Sophie Milne look at the key data and privacy news from January 2024.  Opening with the newly published EU Data Act and the leaked consolidated version of the EU AI Act, before turning their focus to the EDPB's publications on consolidated enforcement and One Stop Shop case digest.  The episode then considers the EDPB's website auditing tool besides the ICO's newly launched consultation series on generative AI and details about its cookie enforcement work.  The spotlight then turns to a round up of the attention grabbing administrative fines.  With a few other soundbites thrown in there is certainly a lot for all stakeholders to consider.
