AI is making huge progress: idolatry is now officially a thing again.

Among the many prophecies around AI, there is the creation of "intelligent agents" that will just go around doing intelligent stuff for us.  It's an old dream, and nowhere nearer today than 30 years ago.

When Sam Altman recently tried to explain why AI works, he managed to show he's talking by hearsay,  of stuff he hardly grasps.
