We're live from Disneyland during Halloween Time in Episode 63 of Dateline Mousetalgia! This week's episode takes a good look at the Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party currently taking place on certain evenings at Disney California Adventure! We discuss the treat trails, the spookily themed Villains Grove, cool characters to be seen (including many villains and rarely seen characters), as well as the event-exclusive shows like World of Color: Villainous!! We'll also cover the Happiest Haunts tour currently offered at Disneyland Resort. Plus, some new entertainment is on its way, there's a new funnel cake food cart in Downtown Disney, and the Sunset Showcase Theater will soon be airing a sneak peek for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil!

Things are starting to get spooky in Episode 62 of Dateline Mousetalgia, as there are several creepy-cool meet and greet opportunities taking place during Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort! Guests can catch the Haunted Mansion's elusive Hitchhiking Ghosts or meet up with the bride Constance Hatchaway, or just hang out with Jack Skellington and Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"! Not only that, but guests can head to Tomorrowland to catch the Disney Villains Dance Party! This week's episode also covers the Halloween-themed Annual Passholder corner in Disneyland, as well as the newly opened pedestrian bridge connecting the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking lots to Downtown Disney, and some more AP mobile order buttons! Plus, Arendelle Aqua has made quite the statement in the parks, from glittery silver and aqua merchandise to snowflake-adorned treats!

The pumpkins are out in Episode 61 of Dateline Mousetalgia! This week's episode takes a look at the start of Halloween Time 2019 at Disneyland Resort! We'll look at the new Halloween-themed treats and popcorn buckets available in the parks, and will of course also look at this year's Grand Californian Hotel lobby cake and Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house themes. Plus, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, so we share some of our favorite moments and interesting trivia from the "Wildest Ride in the Wilderness"! There are also some Downtown Disney updates to share, with some upcoming renovation work scheduled for Jamba Juice (or "Jamba", as it will now be called!), and with a new restaurant, Asian Street Eats by Chef Hung Hyunh, announced to arrive in the area!

Welcome to Episode 60 of Dateline Mousetalgia! In this week's episode, we take a deep dive into our experiences at the D23 Expo, focusing especially on the cool things we saw and learned about during various panels as well as on our experiences exploring the show floor. We have fun discussing all of the parks and movie updates that came our way. There was a decent amount of info for our California parks, from a new daytime parade coming to Disneyland Park next year, to more details about what to expect in Disney California Adventure's upcoming Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus. Plus, we look at the panels and pavilions centered on Disney+, the Haunted Mansion's 50th, and more! This week's episode also looks at the Lucky Fortune Cookery's new menu and September's attraction refurbishment schedule. Not only that, but Halloween Time kicks off at Disneyland Resort tomorrow!

It's D23 Expo time in Episode 59 of Dateline Mousetalgia, and we're coming to you live from Disneyland Resort! First, we take a moment to look at all of the fun Marvel offerings that are available in Disney California Adventure in honor of the Marvel superheroes' 80th anniversary! Face paint, photo props, cute meet and greets-- there are a lot of options! Annual Passholders are also being treated to a special experience, as they can ride Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! during the one hour after park closing between now and August 31st. We'll share our experience enjoying this offering, and will talk about the special lithograph gift that goes with it. Plus, there's a new gold piranha mug available at Trader Sam's, not to mention some noteworthy construction in both parks! In fact, we just saw the unveiling of the new digital marquee for the Sunset Showcase Theater in DCA, and it looks sharp! Of course, we simply can't wrap up this week's episode without sharing our initial impressions of the 2019 D23 Expo, discussing some of our favorite moments from the exciting weekend.

In Episode 58 of Dateline Mousetalgia, we talk tips for surviving this coming weekend's D23 Expo, sharing past experiences and what we are excited for this year! All tickets have sold out for the Expo (including all single-day tickets!), and we look at the new reservation process for this year. In the parks, it may be only August, but Halloween merchandise has landed in full force! We also revisit the topic of new Haunted Mansion merchandise to look at even more items that were recently released during its 50th anniversary. This week's episode also covers the summer-friendly Main Street Electrical Parade dining package available at the Plaza Inn, Lion King-themed treats in DCA in honor of the film's 25th anniversary, and some noteworthy construction in Tomorrowland! Plus, it's time for a Disney Drop segment, as we share a trip report from the Walt Disney Family Museum's special exhibit, "Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World", and take a look at two more significant Disney-related events-- the 20th anniversary of Walt's Barn in Los Angeles, and the Walt Disney Birthplace Restoration project in Chicago! It's been a busy week at the parks, as both the 2019 CHOC Walk in the Park Presented by Disneyland Resort and the celebrations for the Haunted Mansion's 50th anniversary took place this past weekend!
