    We're reporting live from Disneyland during Spring Dapper Day weekend for Episode 40 of Dateline Mousetalgia! First, some breaking news— the Easter Bunny has been spotted on Main Street, USA! Not only that, but it appears that the Tropical Hideaway's Rosita has taken a little trip, as she's not at her usual perch (don't worry, she'll be back soon!). We'll take a look at some upcoming events scheduled to take place in the coming months at Disneyland Resort, and then head over to Downtown Disney for a few quick updates, from food trucks, to a new shop on the way, to the name of the new parking structure. Then, it's on to celebrating Dapper Day weekend! We check out the Dapper Day Expo at the Disneyland Hotel, where Dandy Wellington and his band performed some swinging tunes, and check out all of the vendors. We share overall impressions of the Dapper Day experience at Disneyland Park, from what it's like to see so many amazing Dapper Disneybounds to all of the fun fan interactions!

  • Dateline Mousetalgia - Episode 39 - Springtime at Disneyland Resort!

    Episode 39 of Dateline Mousetalgia is all about Spring and Easter in the parks! The chocolate Easter eggs from the Candy Palace are very popular, but hard to get! We share the schedule for when these are available, as well as a tip for getting more detailed info about Candy Palace happenings. Other seasonal treats can be found throughout the parks, such as Easter egg-inspired caramel apples and treats decorated to look like baby chicks! The biggest Easter event happening at Disneyland Resort right now is the Easter Eggstravaganza scavenger hunt. We'll share the details on what this is and where maps can be purchased, and will take a moment to reflect on Disneyland Easter events past. From intricate egg painting to bunny character meet and greets galore, there are quite a few things we're missing now that Big Thunder Ranch is gone. In this week's episode, we'll also take a look at some of our favorite Disney ducks-- from characters in the parks like Donald and Daisy, to actual ducks who call Disneyland their home. Lastly, we'll wrap up the show by sharing our experiences at Disney California Adventure's Food and Wine Festival.

  • Dateline Mousetalgia - Episode 38 - Subtle Changes, Adventureland Fun, and Some New Rules!

    In Episode 38 of Dateline Mousetalgia, we take a look at some fun new items arriving at Disneyland Resort, such as the grand opening of Jessie's Critter Carousel, the cute new Dumbo/Casey Jr. sipper cup and popcorn bucket, and Mickey's PhilharMagic! There are some subtle changes in the parks, such as benches inside the Main Street Opera House, the occasional Oswald sighting, and a new Orange Vanilla Coca Cola flavor at DCA. The parks continue to undergo construction as part of Project Stardust, most recently with the expansion of the curb cuts in Town Square in order to allow more room for wheelchairs and strollers to access the sidewalks. Next, we'll head into Adventureland, where the Indiana Jones queue offered a cool pop-up tour during the attraction's refurbishment. Over at the Tropical Hideaway, we visit Rosita, discuss collectible sporks, and share an experience enjoying Dole Whip Swirls and waking up José in Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Lastly, we'll cover some big new rules that were just announced for Disneyland Resort regarding smoking, stroller size, stroller wagons, and ice in the parks.

    Galactic greetings from Episode 34 of Dateline Mousetalgia! Between the Disney Parks Blog's new "Building Batuu" series and reports from an assortment of media sources on their exclusive experience previewing Disneyland's upcoming "Star Wars"-themed land, it's hard to believe just how much Galaxy's Edge news dropped all at once! As such, the entirety of Episode 34 is dedicated to really diving in and exploring the announcements! We'll take a look at the costumes cast members will wear as they embrace their roles as members of the Resistance, of the First Order, and as residents of Black Spire Outpost. We'll run through the dining options on the planet of Batuu, checking out the impressive theming as well as a few food and drink items. Then we'll take a look at the different shopping experiences. From a "galactic food truck" at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, to food cooked by a podracer at Ronto's Roasters, to haggling with an Ithorian at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities-- we can hardly wait! We'll also share what we know of the land's two ride attractions, exploring the interactive Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and the impressive Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
